I'll give you ONE  good reason to hedge your bet. PHI team members called into play the Pats 2004-5 SB victory over the Eagles once Mangini blew open the Spygate scandal.You don't think this one is splattered all over the walls of the Pats organization? I could give you twenty more but that should be good enough to lay 30 even if Randall Cunningham or thge Polish rifle come in to take the snaps.

No I didn't have the Bills last week. I know a lot of people were calling that a "trap" game, which it most definitely wasn't. Buffalo, on a 3 game winning streak and having played a crazy almost-win game agains 10-1 Dallas in primetime for everyone to see, was a "chic" pick. The Pats we're ultra-prepared and layed the wood.
 
Forget what I'm saying. You can think I'm totally nuts, that's fine. You have no reason to trust me. Just consider how many threads you've seen on this game, and the percentage of people on the Pats. Isn't there some kind of rule in gambling that if EVERYONE is on the same side, if it looks to good to be true, it almost always is? I'm no gambling expert, but it would seem that way to me.
 
In my opinion, a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money betting on this game, even if they "tease" it down. I'm just asking people to take a rational look around them in this forum and in the idiotic media before jumping in too big. The Pats have created a public feeding frenzy, and those who bet with them on Sunday are going to get bitten by the shark. Just consider it.

Don't forget that this team is one game removed from needing a 4th quarter double digit comeback to win the game. The Bills game has distorted everyone's view, most of all (I obviously think anyway) the Patriots' ballplayers.
 
If the Pats win by more than one score Sunday night, I'll post a public apology to everyone here, and take my medicine, especially from anyone who didn't hit the game as hard as they might have if not for my thread.

I hate cappers who pick the HUGE underdogs and say they win SU, because they have nothing to lose. Let me see your ticket for this game, then talk. In some cases, the huge underdogs do win. If they win, they will come back and say 'i told you so'. But when they lose, it's just like the thread never happened. It's a win/win situation for those idiots that pick huge underdogs to win a game outright. So please stop.

 Tea I'll stick around this forum the night of the game, and be the first to bump this thread if the Eagles get blown out. I'm not trying to do this for attention. I'm not a bookie. I don't even like the Eagles. I haven't posted here before, this isn't like my MO or something.

I promise, if the Eagles lose by more than one score, even if they cover the spread, I will be here to take my medicine on Sunday night. Listen to what I'm saying here. Forget 22.5 points. My prediction is Eagles outright, or very close loss right down to the wire. So I won't be here to say "I told you so" if the Eagles lose by 17. I will have been totally wrong, and if that happens I'll be here for anyone to take a shot at.

RusknFan...Hell,I would be impressed if the Iggles kept it within 21 let alone 14. But in reference to your comments re: the Pats 4th Q. comeback vs. the Colts....let's keep it real.
 
Pats were only laying 5.5 vs. a very healthy -at the time and worth opponent on their own fast carpet.That being said-the zebras from what I observed did everything in their power to make the game close. Both pass interference calls on the defense resulted in the first 6 points for the Colts.They were horrendous calls -one On Hobbs and one on Samuel or the Colts don't see those 6.
 
Then there is a non call on Dallas Clark's endzone mauling of Rodney Harrison that resulted in a TD  that should have come back and the best was the phantom call on Randy Moss for offensive pass intereference.He did not even touch the guy .I've watched it over and over. In the end Pats still could have kicked and easy FG but ran the clock out to aavert a turnover risk on a possible blocked kick.
 
No wonder there was 146 yards in penalties for the Pats and whatever it was for the Colts...28 (I know I'm close). There is your game and why it was so close.In defence of the Colts effort,that defence was so fast and swarming even NE   was impressed with their team speed on "D".
 
Either way I appreciate your professionalism in rebuttaling.I know we'll find out in less than 72 hours.

Sorry Woody, I know that sounds stupid. I'm not great at a lot of things, but I "see" certain things well in football. I'm not a great gambler, most on here would probably kill me if we did point spread picks against each other. There are just certain situations that almost always play out the same way, and I see this coming from ten miles away.
 
XFL, you're right about the officiating in that game. Having said that, there's nothing saying the Colts don't continue on in one of those drives to get a TD, but the PI bunched up their offense in the red zone, forcing two FG's. I'm not saying it would have happened, but truth be told the PI's weren't a huge factor in the score. They probably netted 3 addiditional points for the Colts than they would have gotten otherwise in my opinion. And yes, the Pats could have beaten the spread at the end if they wanted to, but my point is that they're a game removed from a very hard fought come-from-behind effort, and just to keep that in mind with these "GAME OF THE YEAR" Patriots picks at -22.5.

That's right.  It is a risk for them(casino) to take NE or NE OVER bet.  Major casino's have pulled out this game out of their parlay cards to minimize their loss.

Just a quick side note... Everyone is talking about how Bellichek will take away Westbrook (like every team has tried to do this year and been mostly unsuccessful), but the Pats matchups are absolutely terrible in that situation. If there's one thing the Pats D is lacking, it's speed at the LB ans Safety positions. Those are the guys responsible for containing Westbrook, and he should eat them alive.
