Just a quick side note... Everyone is talking about how Bellichek will take away Westbrook (like every team has tried to do this year and been mostly unsuccessful), but the Pats matchups are absolutely terrible in that situation. If there's one thing the Pats D is lacking, it's speed at the LB ans Safety positions. Those are the guys responsible for containing Westbrook, and he should eat them alive.
Hey man, it takes balls to say it but as people have said, week in and week out there is at least one person who says the Pats are going down SU. Now you begun this post stating that the Iggles were going to win SU and now you have backed down a bit and said they will at least keep it close. If you are going to be steadfast in your original statement, then stick by it.
You are right about Westbrook providing matchup problems. He is one of the most special players in this league and if Donovan was healthy, or at least could play, than he would be more pivitol. BUT, Donovan can't, his thumb is the issue. I remember the Giants taking Westbrook completely out of the game and the same will happen here. The Iggles are better off with Feeley this week because Donovan can't throw well enough to make a difference but Westbrrok will be taken out of this game and I am sure Feeley doesn't scare most High School teams. Now if VY was playing against the Pats with a 22.5 spread, then I would consider them keeping it close because of that matchup issue. RB, not happening here against this team.
Who's going to cover Moss? Those tiny, yet good CB? Not going to happen. I expect another dominating Moss performance. So, good for you for trying to REASON your pick of the Iggles winning. You have a 50/50 chance of winning, most likeyl less than that butno one can predict the future. Guess all I say is if yourmaking ballsy statements, stick to them and don't back off. Makes you more of a man/women

i wonder if las vegas is giving out a ML on patriots? you can guarantee people will bet their houses on that one !
Well, both Matchbook and TradeSports have a ML on the patriots. I say Philly all the way *if* Feely is the QB. Yes, I did take the ML, but took it too early! :)

A couple of things stick out here. The Eagles are not talented, hungry or particularly well coached. They are a 5-5 NFC team which means they would be lesser achievers if they had to face the iron in the AFC. The previously mentioned mentioned items plae in there inaccuraacy as compared to the the comment relative to the Patriots being unmotivated. The team is a mirror image of the coach. He is a football historian and recognizes as does his team that they have a chance to carve out a spot in football history. It is unlikely that they will allow and NFC patsie to embarrass them at home on Sunday in front of a ntaional audience. They will take Westbrook out of the offense completely and dare the Eagles to beat them with an inferior air attack.

"Beyond the psychological edge, which I think will be enormous, I do think the Eagles present a few matchup problems. Westbrook is a special player and the Pats LB's won't be fast enough to keep up with him IMO. Also, A. Samuel is an aggressive corner who won't respect the Eagles' passing game and he'll try to jump too many routes. He should get beaten deep at least once. The Pats running game will also be stalled and while NE is a great passing team, noone likes to be forced into the passing game. Stand by my pick here, and again I'm just trying to help folks out if I can"
NO offense pal, but that makes no sense. If samuel is aggresive, why specifically this week will he get beat? Aj Feely is going to torch the Pats??? COME ON man. The pats dont want to be forced into passing? They are the best passing team in the game...lets get serious.

" r u kiding me forced id love to be forced to throw the ball to moss, welker, or stallworth yea being forced t othrow will be a problem pats win by atleast 30 i see a 52-7 game pats offence cant be stoped wake up ppl vegas is beging u to take the eagles so be a dumb ass and do it and watch your $

Sorry to bring out so much negativity. A couple of responses:
To FastPhil: The Eagles are talented, and are very hungry. They've won two games in a row, and are now right in the thick of the NFC playoff race after being pronounced dead weeks ago. They are also extremely well coached. People understimate Reid's teams year after year, and he almost always shuts up the doubters. His teams have made playoff runs without McNabb before... twice. They're extremely well coached.
To Greyhound: No picks for any other games this week, but if I did I wouldn't listen to them too much. I'm probably not the best point spread gambler in the world.
To Jurrasic: I haven't been one of those "idots" picking against the Pats all year. This game just sticks out to me like a sore thumb, so I thought maybe I could come in here and post my opinion and help some people if possible.
To MillerLite: I'm not backing off of anything. Just like I said in my original post, I think the Eagles win straight up, or at worst lose in a game right down to the wire. Where have I backed off of that? If I had to bet my life, I'd say the Eagles win straight up, but I could also see a very tough loss in the final minute.
Thanks, Ryan

Patriots , Packers and cowboys have turned what would be a great season so far, into just a normal plus year.. they cant be giving these many points every week

The defense coordinator of the Eagles is probably the most feared in the league b/c of his creative blitz packages. Phi heald AP in check in Minny, so I wouldn't be surprised if Philly hangs in this game and gets a back door cover.
Blitz packages + Brian Westbrook = no bet on this game and I've been on the Pats every game except for the Colts ( i took the colts spread that day) ...this game just confuses me.

I'm glad someone corrected this. Andy Reid is 80-48 in regular season games. He's won two coach of the years and an NFC Championship.
Jim Johnson is accepted as one of the best defensive coordinators in the league too. I believe he's the highest paid too?

From 2000-06, Johnson's unit is highly ranked in several pertinent defensive categories:

Not a joke. Not trying to incite a riot. Just keep this post in some tiny place in the back of your mind as you consider your plays this weekend. Just a tiny place in your mind that might keep you from betting the house on NE, that's all I'm asking.

dude, saying NE will not cover is one thing but to say that they will lose to this weakass team in Philly?!?! tell me what you are on because I need to get on that..HAHA These Patriots are the real thing, I really believe they will go Undefeated, they're just that good. They have the QB and the COACH even though he's a jackass. NE will continue to cover, this isnt the same Philly squad of years past, they also don't have their mvp in Mcnabb, Easy Pick, NE -whatever.
