From what I've read there is a very real possibility Kittle may not play. And now Robbie Gould too? They signed a rookie kicker Chase McLaughlin, he has made 5 of 7 kicks elsewhere this year but big game big stage Monday night, ughh.
And the pressure of being undefeated. Since 72 (Fins, my boys) only 21 times has a team made it to 8-0. They fall pretty quickly after that, 4 teams (incl. Pats this year) lost game 9. On the bright side for 49er fans, only 6 times @ home were undefeated seasons of 8 or more lost. But make no mistake there is pressure with being undefeated at this stage of the season. As I mentioned in a previous post SF is clearly the more complete team but 2 potential key injuries and being undefeated have me looking at this game as one I may just be a regular spectator to.

Can't fault anyone for backing out of a play due to injury issues. But I think Kittle plays.

I enjoyed your write up, I can tell you as a 49er fan since the early 70's when Seattle whipped us, I quit being a Forty Niner fan. That was the end for me when I witnessed a group of players wearing our logo with no pride or fight in them. I had enough. In our history we always came back and beat teams that beat us, it was marked on our calendar. I could remember crying in the 80's when we had a ruffing the passer call on us against the Redskins that ended our season, the following year on MNF we avenged the loss by beating up the Redskins, I even made the newspapers celebrating so hard. My bloodline was Forty Niner Gold. Like you said in 2014 under Harbrough the Forty Niners didn't have a clue to what protecting your turf was about, we started drafting total knuckleheads and of course the York family had a lot to do with our franchise going left. I still don't like the York family. Surprisingly the 49er's turned things around I'm still not excited, why? because one of our guys never punched Richard Sherman in the mouth, my old Niner's would've laid him out for running his mouth and for all those other theatrics he did, again the Niners had no heart or pride. I'm old school it's not the money you play for it's the pride. When I played football growing up I played on a lot of crappy teams, even when we got the brakes beaten off of us I had guys from the other teams make their way over to me and say "hey number 21, you played your behind off man!" that was respect. The Forty Niners will have to earn my respect and that will most likely take years to do, I can't see myself rooting for them while the York family is in ownership. Inside I'm happy for them, but my memory of them being girl slapped by Seattle still stings. We owe them a major embarrassing beat down, maybe last week they were looking ahead to this game? I highly doubt that with all the distractions today with social media. I'm not close to the organization any longer so I can't get a feel on what or how their thinking is towards this MNF game I will say my money will probably go towards the Niners because this beating has been on my mental black board for years. Where is Ronnie Lott when you need him?
You got me fired up with this post. Thanks for chiming in. People who don't live in Niner country have no idea how big this game is for the organization. The pressure of being 8-0 is nothing compared to the desire of wanting to bury this seahawks team, once and for all!

The Niners are better and at Home so i would expect them to winand i think they can win by 7 or more as well.. The Seattle Defense has not been good this season and there Special Teams have been bad as well.. There is always the possibility Wilson gets hot and gets a Cover for the Hawks but overall I favor the Better Niners.. GL

Miners have no business having a football team! Playing the bottom feeders of the nfl to get a undefeated record! What a joke! No QB, weak oline, poor long snapper, Seahawks will destroy them
I am on Seattle as well but to say that the Seahawks will destroy them is pure Nonsense! I have watched Frisco play and they are a very well balanced team and though I think they will have their hands full on Monday Night by NO means do I think it will it be a cake walk...Both teams will expose their strengths and weaknesses in this game and the better team will win and it will be a great one to watch indeed.
Win or lose all posters here on covers give their insights and in BB's case give a very very in depth analysis on the side he chooses in a particular/Game such as this one or games and you can either follow, fade or do your own handicapping and analysis but the bashing of any handicappers play is indeed disrespectful....Grow up!

i never post on here but I know the good cappers on here and after reading this I'm pretty flustered on my bet, I did my biggest teaser bet of the year with sea + 16 1/2 in it...did I really misread this game that bad? I saw what SF did to an on the up Carolina team...is there a good chance sf could blow them out here ?

"offensive tackles Staley and McGlinchey will be returning to the field tonight along with fullback Jusczyck. Add to that, 49ers Marquise Goodwin should be available tonight"

don't think kittle will play tonight..

Rams lost was a tough one. Looks like all teams returning from London are now 0-6 su and ATS.
BB - how you feeling about your Niners? The big day is finally here.
Not buying that. They went to London two years ago, destroyed the Bucs by 30 then came back had a bye week and put up 51 against the Giants. This was an epic meltdown of historic proportions. If I told you before the game that the Rams defense would score 9 points and the Steelers offense only 10, what would you have thought? If I told you the Rams would be up 7-0 15 seconds into the game, would you think they would only score 5 more points the rest of the way!? The Rams offense was -4 yesterday. That is worse than their performance in the SB.
With all of that, they were still in the game, and could have covered if 1) Goff is not called for a fumble. 2) The defense gets a stop on that 4th down and one at the Steelers 40 in the 4th quarter. The Rams defense showed up big, but the offense was putrid on a historic level for a team known for its offense. Had they just played adequate, putting up a measly 12 points instead of 3, the Rams cover.Even the Browns, with their crappy o line can manage that.
The fact that the defense showed up but the offense did not tells me McVay is not able to coach guys up. If his schemes are not working, he is not able to motivate or inspire guys to give max effort. Phillips has no such problems because he is a man, not a boy, and the players play hard for him, just as they did in the SB.
I still like the Niners. Why? They lose their best LB (a guy who is by all accounts not replaceable). They lose their top offensive weapon and the heart and soul of the team in Kittles (also not replaceable). They lose their pro bowl kicker (also not replaceable) and the line has moved only half of a point!!!!! What does that tell you?
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm just cursed. Niners lose their center and Sanders, after being down kittles, and t heir kicker. And Jimmy g gives Seattle life with a free td. F me. What else can go wrong? I'm pretty sure Shanahan will rely on his defense to get him the win in this one. In other words, I don't expect any more TDs. But I'm not hedging out.

You are one of the worst cappers here. You actually take a player posting a tweet or interview that seriously? Its hilarious when ppl like you look at news and outlets looking at players interview or comments thinking just because they say a certain thing, they will win or cover etc.
This was a bad play from the start. You are one of the worst cappers here on covers in terms of posting long writeups ... only to keep on producing losers consistently.
