As a fan, I'm concerned about the 49ers secondary and they still need to improve on their offensive line.

Thanks, fellas. Nice to see a plan come together. If the Seachickens had covered I was going to call this game of the year and quit while I was ahead. (Just think what a rare opportunity this was. A team as talented as this year's Niners had not had a meaningful game under the lights in 5 years! Going up against an overrated Browns team with a first year coach and bad offensive line, coming off a big win against a division rival). But the chickens losing stopped me from doing that. So, I'll guess I'll continue...:)

Hard to believe, as good as they are, that the entire 48ers season hinges on a full back's knee! It just shows you what Shanahan is capable of doing with very mediocre to above average talent on offense. The key is he makes use of all his pieces to throw the defense off. Remove one piece and the offense is suddenly not as dynamic. From what hear though, it is just a sprain and he should be ok...eventually.

Because history and context matter. Sure, the niners have fielded teams in the spotlight since then, but none of those teams had a chance of accomplishing anything. This is different. After yet another year of rebuild, the 49ers are finally where they thought they would be when they hired Shanahan, and Monday night is their coming out party. Call it the "ushering in a new era" angle. A team comes out on the big stage to proclaim the beginning of a new era by putting on a show. I am very bullish on this team and believe they'll win the NFC west barring a major injury. Why? They have best coach/offensive mind since Bill Walsh. They have a top 5 defense and an all world defensive line. Oh, and the running game is averaging 6 yards a play. Teams that give up 5 turnovers in the NFL are not supposed to win. Anyone who watched that game knows the niners were not going to lose, no matter how often they shot themselves in the foot or got behind. So, far this team has passed every test. They began the season by overcoming their road woes by changing how they prepared for those games. They've done the same thing for the bye week because of last year's result. Yes, there will be some rust but I think once the niners overcome their early jitters, they'll be just fine. The play: Niners -4

I’m wondering if you are adding to your position or hedging out of some? I have a 7-1 future riding. Should be a great game.
Hey Gooch, those are some great futures you are holding there. Wish I had listened to myself:) I went pretty much all in on them winning the NFC instead of the SB because I figured they had a 75-80 % chance of winning that one. I always thought the SB would be a closer proposition and I could always roll over my winnings from winning the NFC to the SB. Now that I'm here, however, I'm only willing to risk 10 out of the 40 units I won when they beat the Packers. Mahomes is an all-world QB like Russel Wilson who can make something out of nothing, and he has a much better team around him then Wilson, minus the running game of course. On the other hand, the strength of this kc team, which is a pass heavy offense, matches up well with the strength of the Niners: i.e., their ability to pressure the qb. 10 units is still a lot of money for me and a max play on a single nfl game (with the exception of the Seattle/ Denver SB where I had 60 units on Seattle), so I'm still pretty confident even if not as confident as BigNiner, who also knows this team well and is all in on this game.

I think Mahomes is more like an Aaron Rodgers in his prime. The Niners just beat the 36 year old version but now can they beat the twentysomething year old version?
