Rule 2: If a coach is certain to come back for another season, but his team isn’t in contention, you can count on them playing, preparing, and trying to win.
Rule 3: Avoid betting teams with interim coaches.
Rule 4: Teams that have everything to play for play tend to play tight and struggle to handle the pressure.
Rule 5: Teams that have built momentum want to maintain momentum.
Not saying I agree totally -- but it does give you something to consider.

Teams are not motivated by seeds after they are entrenched in the playoffs. You have to win anyway. Home or away. Rams have already mailed it in and are going with health over seeding. Going to be on the road anyway, you might as well not be nicked up in the playoff game.

I don’t think that Eagles will pull out of this. I can see The Eagles punting on this game and getting ready for the playoffs. If Hurts needed to miss a game to get well and he hasn’t so for this would be the one to miss.

True, but still surprised by Rams , much easier for them to win at home vs lions then travel to Dallas , as that is what it looks like will happen with a Rams loss

Rams want health over seed. On the road either way. Probably have a better chance against the Lions. Dallas already ripped them a new one earlier in the season.

I fully agree with you not only Dallas know there only chance to NFC title game is home-field advantage, there is also a Division Title bonus players coaches get... Washington with a win could jeopardize their 2nd round pick.... Not sure Dallas cover but there playing with a lot on the line Dallas 1H looks tempting

please tell us how seeding doesn’t matter as the Lions are playing everyone in hopes that Dallas losses to Washingto and they can get the 2 seed. It’s a huge long shot and they are risking it because they want the 2 seed.
