Betting against Manning is like sleeping with your cousin, it seems ok at first, but in the end you will regret the bad decision.
 
L10 games of Hou/Ind series are 9-1 OVER the total.
 
Hou is on a 10-1 ATS run at home revenging a loss where opp scored 28 or more points, only potential spot this year for them is 9/12 at home vs Indy???
 
Remember this stat also-  Hou is 9-1 in Dec games since 07, only spot this year is 12/13 vs Baltimore.

Over is the play. This game has been an over in houston for as many years as I can remember. Game in indy has been an under between the two.

Indy also seems to give up more points on the road versus home.

Why lay "serious wood" on a game like this?  Against the best QB in the league?  I'm sure there are much better plays out there to put your $$$ on than this game.

And this trend doesn't factor in for Peyton Manning, who has looked razor sharp in limited time during the preseason.                          In Manning's most significant playing time this preseason (games 2 and 3) he had three turnovers , and they were both road games also. I don't think they have the offensive line they've had in the past, and I look for Manning to have more turnovers this year.  I think the Texans make enough big plays this game to win it.

This game has been close lately:

Ind 35 @ Hou 27 (Ind -3)
Ind 31 @ Hou 27 (Ind -3)
Ind 30 @ Hou 24 (Ind -6.5)

And it's gone over for 5 straight years.

We're all waiting for Hou to "make their move" and finally get over the Ind hump and compete for the division.  Problem is, Ind still has Manning, Wayne, Freeney, Mathis, B. Sanders, and that's why they go to the Superbowl and Hou doesn't.  Hou is maybe a playoff team?  maybe?  Ind definitely is.  11 or 12 wins for how many straight years?

I think of it this way.  If Hou wins, it will be surprising.  "Oh, they finally did it!"  If Ind wins, it will be "same old same old."  I'd rather bet on "same old" over "surprising, finally!"

Looks good to me.  How do you keep a big passing offense from scoring?  Keep them off the field.  Who had the 2nd most rushing yards this preseason?  KC with 150 a game.  Thomas Jones had 1,400 yards last season.  When Jamal Charles took over 1st team duties from Larry Johnson in week 10 last year, he subsequently rushed for 968 yards...yes, in six games.  And Dexter McCluster is just fun to watch.  No Vincent Jackson?  I see a close, Under game...

I like the Texans, they are a complete team this year with Foster. I would hit the ML hard.

This line smell a TRAP! beggin you to bet COLTS! right? Peyton Manning..always betting Houston!! i dont believe in dreams people!! This game is for houston, so wait until game time to have a better line, Public people will bet Colts! 3 points maybe +3.5 that would be perfect!!

Over is 11-5 overall and 5-3 in Houston.  Those 5 in Houston are the last 5 between 2005-2009.

I have never understood why people bet 'trends' that occur over multiple seasons. I guess some (like the mentioned KC Under for the last 23 years might be an exception)...  NFL teams change too often from season to season to put too much credibility into trends like the ones mentioned in this thread.

Just do your HW and if it lines up as a good play, go with it, and take the 'trends' with a grain of salt. Trends are merely a snapshot of past events. Do yourself a favor and analyze WHY and WHAT made these 'trends' happen... don't bet on trends as your primary source of data or have fun reloading your accounts.

Completely agree.  Identifying the trend is only the first step.  Analyzing the trend to uncover the factors that contribute to it is next.  I'm sure that is what you meant when you said "Just do your HW".
