We all saw the same game and it's safe to say that if the Vikings are really this inefficient on the offensive and defensive lines, they will certainly be a big disappointment this season. The Vikings couldn't stop the run, they couldn't generate a pass rush, they couldn't block....wow. However, I don't want to take anything away from Carlos Hyde, he is impressive. I have respect for Kaps toughness. He was lit up in the 1st half and he picked himself right back up. However, I have a firm stance on his inability to throw from the pocket, however, I give credit to the O coordinator for calling plays to his strength...misdirection play action rollouts is what we will see early and often from the 49ers. I just didn't anticipate the weakness in Minnesota that we all saw last night. I gave Bridgewater way too much respect and his play contributed to my loss. It was a great overall win by the 49ers. If anything, it'll soften the line next week when they travel to Pittsburgh. I'll pound Pitt when the line is listed in my book.

With that being said How do you feel about the lions coming in to week2? Aside from letting the chargers come backthey played extremely well but the difference is will vikings do better at home?

Don't know if you saw my post in your Monday thread, AMD, but as a Niner follower, I was in the same boat as you. I don't think this team will be very good, or win more than 7-8 games, but I did back them to win what was a huge game for them. That was the "us against the world" game of the season for the Niners. The biggest difference last night was, the Niners were playing with desperation and playoff type intensity while the Vikes were going through the motions. Vikes should be fine going going forward and I really like the Steelers in a short week for the Niners. I'm also on the Titans and KC (which I love), but I'm against you on Seattle. GB has had this game circled for months (much like the Niners this week) and I think Rodgers (even without Nelson) is going to pick that secondary apart. I don't think Seattle will be able to keep up.

Good luck this week man. Im with you on Seattle, other side on KC, jurys out on the rest.
What edge does Denver have in this game that has you wagering on them?
Denver defense Will keep them in every game this year, but I believe this is a really tough spot for them. The books certainly out on Manning and he took an absolute beating Sunday vs the ravens, I'm not sure I've ever seen him take as many hits flush as he did vs Baltimore and now he's facing an even better pass rush on the road in what will be a deafening arrowhead. They will press cover the receivers just like every other team has Denver for the last ten games And attempt to make Manning beat them over the top, I'm not sure he can anymore.
Having said that Denver defense is also no joke as they are very fast and I'm talib when healthy is as good as it gets. It should be an interesting game , though I believe kc has a much better o line and the advantage of playing at home, along with the threat of jamal Charles and Davis out of the backfield should slow down Denver pass rush alot more than what we saw when they teed off on flacco

I think KC can get this SU, but it should be a very, very close game, if not else, then based on the div game. KC wins, but could be very well with only 1-2 points.

Lions o line played bad, Stafford was erratic, megatron isn't getting open, and secondary was fucking terrible. I was high on Lions last year but until I see megatron dominating again I'm not high on them.hopefully Caldwell realizes soon Abdullah needs as many touches as possible

Mr Incredible, yes the Lions had a big lead on the Chargers early, but to say they played extremely well is not true...they barely generated 200 yds of offense and gave up over 400 the only thing close about the game was the final score due to a late TD by the Lions

I like thIs weeks picks much better amd. I'm still in shock at how well sf played on both the offense and defensive lines, and maybe more in shock at how poorly prepared the vikings looked
you shouldnt be the niners are alot better than people think.

As a gambler, one of the most difficult things to do in regards to the NFL is to have a short memory. If you dont, you'll get trashed in a hurry. I don't care what anyone says, the NFL is week to week and it's all about matchups. As well as the 49ers looked in week 1, I've already moved on to week 2 and I'm looking at strengths and weaknesses in the matchup against the Steelers. And, I'm doing the same with Minnesota. Will the Vikings have a better outcome at home? Possibly. However, at the moment, I'm not giving them a week 1 free pass. They have too many deficiencies that need to be cleaned up regardless of what their few strengths in week 2 may be. As for the Lions, I can't bet on them. They have a defense that can't defend the pass. Stafford is a turnover machine in crucial situations. Regardless of week to week matchups, it's been a common theme for Stafford to turn the ball over and this issue goes all the way back to when he entered the league. He's careless. He has the tools but he's completely underachieved, imo. When you have a qb that turns the ball over and a defense that can't defend, how is it possible to invest in them?

I didn't see your previous post. Great call on the 49ers. Being unbiased as I am, I'm studying the 49ers game right now. If I see an edge, I'll be on them. But as it stands, I lean with Pitt. Funny thing about last night's game was that I was sitting with my covers buddy, Chaloots, and I had on my 49ers Roger Craig jersey. As the Vikings blocked the 1st q fg attempt and ran the ball all the way back to the 49ers 35, I was the only one standing on my feet hootin' n hollerin' as the Vikings were returning the fg block. Dudes were looking at me like I was 4 cans short of a Sixer. Like I give a fukk. It's money, right? Bol this season.

I completely agree with your post and the points you've made are why I love KC. Remember what KC did to Brady at home last season? I preach the "short memory" theme regarding the NFL but I can't get that game out of my head as I believe that gameplan is exactly how they will scheme against Manning on Thursday. The reason Brady and Manning are so good is that, for years, they have been 1-2 with the quickest releases of all starting qb's in the NFL. Those quick releases are exactly the reason why Manning has been the least blitzed qb over the last decade. Well, those have changed. Manning doesn't have the same release. His timing is slower. His velocity has decreased and he is, yet, a statue in the pocket. All of this against the #1 pass rush team in the league. Yes, Denver has a very good defense but how good will they be when they're on the field for 70% of the game and they have to defend against KC's multidimensional threat? Their is nothing about Denver that I like in this game. NOTHING.

LOL. Those fans must of though you were nuts. Especially if they were like me and recalled how the Vikings broke our hearts in the playoffs when Montana was benched for Young and Carter torched us. Was Craig still with the Niners then? I don't recall. I just remember that Young almost brought us back with that amazing run. Ah, the good old days. I think if mangenius tries all those exotic blitzes against Big Ben, the Niners will get torched. Good luck.
