Week One Super Contest

That combined with what I'm hearing out of Denver leads me to believe that they are very happy with their oline. They probably have the best if not one of the top 3 guard combos in the nfl. Peyton always gets rid of the ball quickly and makes his oline look better than they are anyways. Don't get me wrong I love Baltimore just not in this spot. I'm not playing Denver ether but they were my 6th best play for the week so I narrowly weeded them out.

I'll post my top 5 later this week I just wanted to start up some friendly narrative. Good luck!

Good analysis. Originally BAL was one of my top picks as well but after more consideration I had the same concerns about their offense. I like Forsett a lot and Steve Smith is a quality 2nd WR but outside of those two who are the gamebreakers? 

As much as I want to fade DEN their Defense has no obvious holes. I don't trust Smith to win consistently as the No. 1 option vs their top 5 secondary. Ultimately I came off the pick as a no play.

         I think Browns are going to have a hard time scoring on the Jets. I don't see taking Browns as Jets could stop them defensively and then score with Ivory or a Marshall/Decker.

          Bengals are probably much better than Raiders so I don't see Raiders covering.
          Philly could be a great team this year, I think overall they are quite a bit better than the Falcons.

vanzack,do you personally play a unit on each of your contest picks??your top 5 ones i mean...or are you more selective even on a weekly basis than that??...not sure of your betting style in nfl..im keen to flat bet and tail your contest picks and just thinking of the best way to go about it....not sure if you ever do your own threads,dont think ive noticed any.

Don't get discouraged if you have a bad start, 2 friends have won it in the past, the one guy was below .500 in mid-october and caught a 17-1-2 run and propelled him, long season, enjoy and Goodluck

Hey all. Me and my buddy signed up in July. We are both in our twenties, first supercontest ever. Very excited. Now that our card is set, I do not like seeing that every pick is road chalk. It feels too square. Every game I like and have my reasons. Believe me I know the way to win this is by being original and going against the grain a bit. I already see a few of week 2 games where I know I'll want to take the dog.

Our entry name is HEALTHY BOX if you wanna check us in the standings.

All off season I have been super high on the rams. I thought they played Seattle super tough in week 17 and much closer than the final score would lead you to believe. The rams offensive line and no Gurley ultimately made it a no play for me. But between the Rams defensive front 7 and Chancellor being out and getting 4 at home in a division game.... I was so close to picking STL, hopefully I'm not regretting it later.

It is really difficult for me to tell you how much I have on each play.  I buy and sell lines all week, and will sometimes take a line in the contest because it is a good line that you cant get with real wagering.

But in general terms, my qprhoops1 selections will be the games I have wagers on, along with SD for this week.

You can generally count on if I have them in the contest, there is a very good chance I also have them for real money.
