If the nfl could hand pick a super bowl matchup out of all 32 teams who do you think they would want? I think they would want colts vs giants because of the manning brothers, the new york market, and the public loves peyton. But favre is a close second

I agree that this is what the press most likely would love to see happen, but for me I'd like to see Jets-Vikes, don't think Jets will make it though. Then again I did not think they would beat the Chargers. As for TV's favorite match-up, I'd think Pats-Giants like a few years back...ala... Yanks-RedSox.

Skub- Technically I should have been more specific at a certain point the Saints organization parted ways with Archie and he actually finished his career up as a Minnesota Viking.
Still sticking with Colts/Saints though

Right now, I think the NFL's perfect superbowl would be Minnesota vs New Orleans. Can't happen because they're in the same conference, but would have the most intriguing storylines.
A lot of redemption storylines would be beat to death with that matchup in the Super Bowl.
The redemption of Brett Favre, The Vikings possibly winning their first super bowl ever for the long suffering fans, redemption for Chargers castoff Drew Brees, redemption for bust Reggie Bush, Saints winning their first super bowl, winning the super bowl for the city of New Orleans, (you all know scenes and stories of Katrina would be overloaded here) sending off Deuce McAllister, two long suffering franchises on the brink of relief, you all get the point.

The question is not what you want the Superbowl match-up to be, it is what the league would want the Superbowl match-up to be.
Clearly the answer is Colts-Saints, that game would break viewing records and anyone debating this needs to get their head checked.
With that being said, wouldn't you like to see an offensive juggernaut go up against a team who most say "are not supposed to be here" or they "backed their way into the playoffs" when clinched teams were resting their players??? Saints/Colts would bore me....
