Here's a possible scenario to chew on, and isn't all that far fetched because this is the NFL and quick turn arounds and drastic declines happen every year.
The Seahawks and Packers face off week 2 both 0-1...try them apples.
Great threads summa, good discussions. BOL this season.

Helluva thread. So true. I had Seattle-1 & the Under 48; 550 to win 500 today. Sick 1050 swing on 80 yard drive. The Seahawks cannot cover tight ends whatsoever. This secondary went from one of the best ever, to getting embarrassed in the 4th quarter every single game. The Seahawks are in trouble. However, I do like them this week against the Niners, I think. Line is at -4.5 now. The Niners are bad. They really do miss Dan Quinn. And the communication in the secondary isn't there. People say Russell Wilson is overrated, but in reality what he does with that putrid offensive line is pretty incredible. He doesn't really have any big time WRs either. This is what happens when you can't pay everybody. No more rookie contacts. Seems like they just care about the dollar signs now.... I thought this division was the best in football. Now I'm not so sure. The NFC South? Get outta here...

Those people are clueless. The Seahawks can thank the Football gods that this guy fell to them in the third round. Without Russell Wilson, this team wouldn't have made it to any Super Bowl and they would be 1-5 now. He makes plays out of nowhere when every other QB would have gotten sacked behind this offensive line.
They paid this defense because they held guys like Colin Kaepernick and Drew Stanton below 10 PPG but give up a first rounder and a Pro Bowl center for an expensive TE who cannot block. Way to go.
The Rams are going to win this division!

However, I do remember a TV commentator making the astute observation that Super Bowl losers often fail to even make the playoffs the following year. The extra week off, the relentless build-up of tension, the monumental importance of ONE game, and the massive post-game criticism that drags on for months all combine to create a colossal letdown.
I should have the under for the SEA team wins this year.

Lots of concern right now..Still think they make playoffs and have a good shot at the division. They will win their next 4 and be 6-4 just like last year...

Right now they have huge problems on both sides of the ball. Dan Quinn was a huge loss and their OL sucks. But they still control their own destiny with ARI. I think Rams finish 9-7.
If you look at Cards schedule..they have to play @ Seattle primetime with Seahawks coming off a bye. Tough task for the Cardinals. They still have to play @ STL who they already lost too. They get CIN & GB at home and play @ PHI. I think the division will be on the line Week 17 with SEA @ ARI.
If Rams can go 10-6 they probably take it but Mr. 500 is still their coach.

Im going to throw $500 more on them to win it all! I love the fact everybody is doubting this team brings me back to my childhood when I was the only Seattle fan in my elementary growing up in the bay area! I love the Us against the world mentality! Im predicting a big turnaround that starts with Russell Wilson completing offensive drives! He has been leaving the defense hanging out to dry with too many 3 and outs! That defense has been on the field way too long and it falls squarely on Russell Wilson being able to sustain those long clock killing drives!
Suuma its sounds good but Im thinking this adversity bring this team back together and I hope I am right! #GOHAWKS

I'm a big Seahawks fan, they are in a bit of an identity crisis right now though. They aren't use to kicking teams in the mouth and then having them kick back harder. The Legion Of Boom use to set the tone for teams to not throw on them. However, Maxwell is gone, Jeremy Lane shattered his leg, Tharold Simon never developed, and Richard Sherman seemingly has regressed quicker than anyone in the league has ever seen. Then on the offensive side of the ball you usually had a hard nosed running team. The offensive line has never been a strength of the team but they lost their Center who was the best member on the line, and a solid running blocking LG. They got too many projects on the line who are getting blasted on 75% of snaps. They are a team with a lot of good players, but no identity. I don't think the season is lost, but I also don't see them getting into the playoffs at anything other than maybe the last WC. The season is not over, but Thursday Night is just about as close to a Must Win as possible this year in the season. You can't go to 2-5. You just can't.
