Not hating on the guy because I didn't watch the halftime show.  But have heard a few of his songs and I thought they were one hit summer pop songs from the 80s and when I saw a video of him I thought definitely an 80s one hit wonder. Seems like a nice guy, good luck to him. In this era when all voices and music are worked over by AI and computers this is pretty much it. I liked the girl with the guitar who sang America The Beautiful before the game she was like a hologram of the late 60s or early 70s. Kinda a female Hendrix. I will check out Spotify for her music.  The halftime guy was I think an upbeat sugar pop guy for just a shifty 2020. But the whole Superbowl was poorly produced from start to finish.  The Lombardi thing was a WTF moment that tried to do something but failed. Game was also like an 80s Superbowl one team beating the hell out of another.  Chiefs run those across the field arch plays almost every down and Tampa players did an excellent job of passing off the runner and Bowles had an excellent game plan. Chiefs defense isn't very good and was sliced and diced by Brady.  We haven't had a stinker in some time but those of old enough to remember when every SB pretty much was unforgettable and over by halftime, this was like a throwback to the 80s and 90s. Even the playoffs this year were not drama filled besides the pick six in Buffalo in the Divisional playoffs and the Chiefs going for it on 4th and 1 at midfield to seal the game vs the Browns this year was much like the NBA Bubble everything seemed to go as planned.  Nothing really to talk about but Brady kind of like LeBron.

That so many dudes are even interested in the half time show demonstrates the fall of society. Go grab a beer, fix a cocktail, roll a joint, grab a wing, smoke a cigarette, crush a rail.... like normal red blooded men. Halftime show? Next thing dudes are gonna be complaining about the commercials. To all the old men, especially old white men, just accept the fact that the Super Bowl halftime show will never be geared towards you again. It's for chicks and kids.

I dj and I get what everybody is saying even on my Facebook, they tore him up....but as far as this generation goes he's good we may not like all the music of this era but we should respect it for what its worth, our artist arent coming back again.

The production was awful. You couldn't even hear his voice over the music, which actually was my favorite part.

 Calm down, snowflake. They gear halftime towards towards women and young, "urban" crowds. The weekend is a huge star so this seemed like a no brainer even though i'm not a fan of his. My wife was looking forward to it though. Dubs and I are both black and I can promise neither of us are into the weekend so it's not simply a race thing but the fact is that if you are an old man, and yes, especially an old white man, these shows aren't for you. They aren't booking CCR. We've had Lady Gaga recently. Beyonce. Their target audience is woman and children because real men should be taking a piss and grabbing some food and a drink anyway. If you missed my point and focused on the racial aspect, which was barely even stressed, then that's on you.

Off you go? Who even talks like that? Look, I don't know a ton about you but from what I can tell you avoid the drama and mainly stick to capping so you're alright in my book. I know everything is about race these days and it can be maddening but I was really just making a comment on the artists that are booked for these shows and why.
