When it all comes down to it, it's fame and money that will kill you. Lets say if one of us normal people are involved with what Vick did, you think they will make a big deal and treat us like Vick? I'm sure they're not going to make us pay millions of dollars and the whole nine yards, right? Just asking for people opinions.

Dogs are a mans best friend, right?  I think what he did showed how ignorant pro- athletes can be with $$$$.  Do I believe ignorant people should be granted a 2nd chance, yes.  He is an outstanding athlete, so some poor team needing a spark will toss him a bone...  Possibly with his experience in the pound and outside of football interests, he may fit well in the "dog pound" Cleveland Browns baby.... They could use a spark.  Oh, and athletes who think they are above the law, get a gri and try to remember one little ethical thing here, little kids that watch you on tv look up to you, like it or not, you are role models- a worthy person who is a good example for other people.  Bet on that for once.

i agree w/ samuel sosa, you can mow down an innocent man, who had a family/kids who were depending on him to provide for them b/c you got drunk at the club - that doesn't even ruffle feathers - 
i don't understand where the moral police are with that, I guess they only pick and choose who to lynch


not to say what Vick did was ok, he deserved to be punished...

couple points,

1. Vick reached a position where anything less than stellar behavior would result in a huge backlash. If Leonard Little committed pitbull murder no one would give a fuck just like noone gives a fuck about his dui homicide. If Vick committed vehicular homicide people would be calling for the death penalty. Its the nature of the beast. Vick's not the first victim and he won't be the last.

2. People who are using this as an excuse to hate Vick need to get a grip. If 3000 dogs died as a result of 9/11 would we be at war in the middle east right now? Hell no. Sorry to use an example like that but extreme examples are needed when people refuse to use proper perspective. At no other time do we as a group equate dogs to people.

I think Vick would be still doing the dog fighting if he wouldn't have gotten caught....Kind of like drinking and driving, people do it until they get caught..I don't think he needs to be thrown under the bus..He served his time and now lets see what he can do with it...
Now what about Stallworth, how did he get off so cheap...Nobodys saying anything about that whole situation...If it was an average joe, we'd be locked up for 25yrs to life...Anyway, Vick will get his shot and we can all move on from this....If he's a hero, we'll forget about it.. If he's a zero, we'll say I told you so...

This was not an incident, it was a business ran and operated and given thought to daily, which makes it part of who he is not something he did in my opinion. An incident is something that happens, something someone did. He ran a sick business for more money.
