Colts have faced only three good QBs all year:
Kurt Warner - 30/52 332 yards 1/2 67.1 rating
Matt Schaub - 32/43 311 yards 2/2 82.6 rating
Tom Brady - 29/42 375 yards 3/1 110.7 rating
Matt Schaub - 31/42 284 yards 2/2 87.8 rating
Considering Mat Schaub is still only considered above average, the Colts shouldn't be laying -6 to a 15-3 team with a great QB in Brees. The Saints will not play it conservative against the Colts.
And beat every one of them.
(Going 2-2 ATS)

They lost significant games to the Cowboys and Bucs and benifited by Vikes stumbling on the road down the stretch. I hate to think of the outcome had they played Minny in thier dome.
Saints scored most points this year but gave up the most of any division winner. Special teams are good, especially thier punter who was used extensively in 2nd half in CC game. Sean Peyton makes many questionable decisions. Impressive wins for both over NE as I see it.
Honestly though, reverting back to week 12 as a point for jumping on Saints is somewhat irrelavent. The fact is, Saints have shown weaknesses in these last 5 games be it wins or losses.

But would you agree that the Saints offense will be the best offense the Colts will face all season minus a 100% Freeney?

That was dam good insight, well done. How much you have riding Raider?

Just a comparison to last years SB.
Arizona had thier SB debut led by a QB who had played in 2 previously. Also, they were at the top of thier game in the playoffs and NO apparently is not.

Simon- I like Manning a lot and believe he has placed himself in a very elite class of QB's in NFL history But if you look at the big picture aside from the 4-0 run to the Superbowl he has had his fair share of woes in the big spots.
1999: 0-1
2000: 0-1
2002: 0-1
2003: 2-1
2004: 1-1
2005: 0-1
2006: 4-0
2007: 0-1
2008: 0-1
2009: 2-0
Those numbers dont mean a thing to me. Most of those losses were to the eventual world champs. Except for when his bro won. Maybe if he wouldnt have played so well in the regular season and won so many games they would have gotten to play in the wildcard round and won. His playoff stats would be better. Should he shoot for that next year?

Your observation of NO is way off buddy.
Scratch your sheets and start over again from the beginning with the Colts/Saints just came off their best performances in the playoffs to be in Miami..............

Tall-Tale Really those numbers don't mean anything to you? Up until he won that 1st Superbowl despite his tremendous talent he was being labeled as not being able to win the big game...that was true in days playing at Tennessee and in his earlier years as being a professional.
My only point of listing that was Simon made a point that Manning Thrives under pressure... when in reality he had a long pattern of being labeled as not being able to win the big game.

Bustin--it's obvious here and on my thread..I'm all over Indy..
Your above statement.. "HAD" = PAST TENSE, " HAS" = PRESENT TENSE; point of the matter, agreed...Peyton "had" the monkey, no longer there. Any coach, any critic, any nay-slayer...whether like him or not...will agree he's in a class of his own when it comes to preparation for big games IN THE PRESENT. Not 10 years ago. It took him a long road to get to where he is. Brees is still learning that road...

Wherever this line comes from, I interpret it to mean they performed better in the Minn game than against Arizona.
You honestly agree with this statement? I don't see it. Also, even if that statement was true, it's not the best football Saints have played this year.

Vegas opened this line at -4 for a very good reason.. (To get da public all over the Colts) to me this is obvious. The part that doesnt make any sense is, the line moving up to a touchdown.. Now the Saints are a well liked team right and I think the public wants to see an upset.. So once again why is the line moving up.. My last point is that Freeney may not play if he does he is hurt and wontbe the same .. Colts are not a good rush de and without him @100% you cannt tell me they are a better team.. Line doesnt make sense be carefull when capping this game.
In a big game like this Vegas wants one sided action that whole 50/50 we ll keep the juice is bullshit.. Vegas maynot controll the outcome of a game but they do persuade the betting public..

To show you I'm not anti NO, you'll get no argument from me on this. What they can do with it sunday is yet to be seen.

if the Saints win outright, that would be a huge win for the Public...
it doesn't take a genius to know that the Public plays for this SB are Colts ATS or Saints ML... and the Sharp plays for this SB are Colts ML and Saints ATS... i have already even seen two articles confirming this, and heard a radio interview reaffirming it...

no... this statement is bullshit! 50/50 action is EXACTLY what Vegas wants, because the handle on this game is through the roof... the only way they can NOT win tons of money is if they have one-sided action...
what the books want is 50/50 action, but a completely one-sided Super Bowl... because they don't want any middles...
in fact, when they get one-sided action, that is the one thing that exposes them to being middled...
your statement is complete horseshit for about 1000 reasons, and there is not a single reason to support it...

I cannot believe some of these comments.
Better coaching and defense for NO..mindblowing.
Colts O-line and speedy, intense hard hitting defense will be huge factors. Manning has not fumbled the ball in over 2,000 handlings. He has only been sacked 24 x in 2 years. They just held 2 formidable running games to 50% of their norms. Have you not noticed how they perform in the playoffs. Their running game improves, their run defense comes though huge in the playoffs and there is not a better team in the league at protecting a lead and we know how they come from behind. Once again, Belichick was afraid to kick the ball to Peyton Manning with 1:36 to go.That should say it all.
This is the Saints team who can force turnovers but their tackling does not even come close to that of the Colts. This is the Saints team who got out first-downed 31-15 and out yarded by 218 in their own house 2 WEEKS AGO. This is the same team who had everything to play for in Week 15 vs. TB and could not score in the ENTIRE 2nd half vs. Tampa and was forced to win in OT.
Look at the history of teams that get into the SB this way.Blowouts occur in the Big Dance.
Colts will win by DD.
