feeling even better yet w/ my Colts play afetr reading garbage like this..
What's garbag?
the garbage comes from the one who started this ridiculous thread spewing out erroneous information. The Saints won every meaningful game they had to...what??? The Saints got manhandled by Dallas right after talking about how impoortant it was to go undefeated then lost to Tampa when they were trying to right the ship before resting guys week 17. They then go into playoffs rested and beat up an exhausted Arizona team then were handed a gift vs minny after being physically and statistically dominated throughout the game. They didnt win the minny game...minny choked it away with their 6 turnovers and they still managed to get it to overtime. Saints average 2+ on turnovers per game and Colts do not turn it over. Nobody wants to talk about the facts. They average 12.4 pts per game off turnovers ...where are these pts coming from Sunday??

@ iceblood you can live in that world believing that Vegas wants a split and live off the juice.. No problem.. you are right there is no facts to support my statement.. just what I see and my small role in what I do makes me believe that thats not what they want.. not even close.. middles can happen and have nothing to do with 1sided action.. and of course thats the last situition they want.. lines are made to persuade the public to bet thats is..it's that simple..

mofo... i just think you have it backwards... the SB and other really high profile games are usually the games Vegas would be most inclined to find a good line and try to get even action... it is possible for them to get burned that way, like the SB with Denver and Green Bay, where the line waffled between 13.5 and 14.5, and the game ended on 14... so they got hit from both sides... but that is the exception to the rule... more often then not, the spread doesn't come into play, and simply by getting all of the juice from the massive handle on both sides they make a killing...
the SB is the most heavily bet sporting event of the year by a long way... only horse racing gets close, i would imagine... i just think the betting public can be very unpredictable on the SB, so the books just try to capitalize on the massive quantity of bets, and not try to take a hard stance one way or another...
on almost all other sporting events i would agree with you... but i don't think Vegas likes to gamble quite that much... that is not how they built the Strip... they did it by capitalizing on the gambler's mentality... not by having it themselves...

@Splooge I thougt you were refering to my post.. I agree with the fact that the Saint backer's are not posting anything that makes me a believer that they are the better team here.. Not sure if you a Colts fan but you must give respect to the Saints offense. My initial lean was the Saints but the more I cap the more I doubt it..

Ice- sb the biggest wagering event keep the juice make money on props and other shit ok maybe . I see that maybe large enough to make worth while.. i dont buy into that.. Sorry I dont.. Plenty of times there is a game out there that seems so ez such a no brainer a lock if you will.. Public pounds it and u know what so do the sharp bettors and the line moves in their favor and that simple ez play becomes a bad beat.. many people think or say that the public is betting a certain way and in my research come to find the complete oppisite.. now you dont know me and cuz I say something I dont expect you treat it like gospel but.. but .. I've seen I've called it.. and if Vegas wanted 50/50 splits they would make it more public knowledge on who betting who vrs 3rd party info/ he said she b.s. cuz many many times my info tells me diffrent andon those I usually right..

Sure Vegas wants to catch the public off guard on a regular season game, but this is one game and they really want 50/50 on it... There is so much action that they would prefer not to root for a side. They got smashed on the Super Bowl last year because they tried to make a line to juice the public and it didn't work out.. The lines are usually tight at the Super Bowl because it's one game

NO's last 5 regular season games have to show they weren't at their best coming into the playoffs and show they weren't as good as advertised.
12/06/09 @ Washington W 33-30 OT
12/13/09 @ Atlanta W 26 - 23
12/19/09 vs. Dallas L 17 - 24 (still playing to go undefeated, AT HOME)
12/27/09 vs. Tampa Bay L 17 - 20 OT (still playing for one seed, and would have lost it if Minnesota hadn't lost to Chicago this week, AT HOME) would NO even be here if MIN had home field?
01/03/10 @ Carolina L 10 - 23 (rested starters)

They would have played Brees against Carolina and won that game, still receiving the #1 seed

My point was just that they weren't world beaters coming into the playoffs. Not whether or not they would have home field advantage. You are a Saints fan, so you are a bit biased...
My question to you is, WOULD NO have beaten Carolina in that game with Brees? Carolina was one of the hottest teams into that game(beating a MINN team fighting NO for the one seed and stomping NYG). And if you had to start Brees to win that game to get the #1 seed, it again proves my point that they weren't world beaters/dominant in their last 5 games of the season going into the playoffs. The Washington and Atlanta games were way before the perfect season talk was even in question... They were clearly still playing for the perfect season against Dallas, and were still playing for the one seed against TB at home. Don't tell me they knew they were going to backdoor their way into the #1 seed so they just cruised at home against TB?

I'll take my thank you now. The Saints were slow to start blowing my +2 in the first QTR, but under 24 was good in the first 1/2. I will say I believe the Colts would win the game, but I also said that Sean Peyton was and X Factor and guess what ......HE WAS. That 2nd Half on side kick and recover was the key to them winning.
Great game and Saints deserve it.
