Yeah, seems he struggles mightily against Pitt.

Brady is 23-9 in playoffs, he is the G.O.A.T but I will say that just talent wise Rodgers is in a class by himself, he has an all around skill set that is insane.



That is a 132 QBPR, hey, that'd be the best in history by a long shot if maintained .

Just using 2016 stats and pro-rating Brady 16 weeks from the 12 he played:

Yards TD INT Sacks
Rodgers 4428 40 7 35
Brady 4739 37 3 20

Give me the GOAT 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.

If given QB to pick from to play 1 game, I would pick Rodgers over Montana and Brady for this one reason, you can't game plan AR.  You can effect Brady with great pass rush up the middle, with Rodgers, he has few short-comings.  He can scramble away from pass rush and throw on the run accurately.  Montana is pretty scrambler too but not as good as AR.

I followed 49ers religiously back during Montana days and I would say AR is better than him.

Yes it does.

Now do your real homework, look at the common opponents between the Pats and Steelers and tell me which team performed better, not just better but FAR better.   You can cry about easy schedule all you want but when the Pats shut the door on them and the Steelers lose to the same "EASY PEASEY" opponents you will arrive at the truth.

Here I did your homework for you, copy and pasted from another thread...

Over those same opponents NEP averaged 29.8 pf vs 16.9 pa
Over those same opponents PIT averaged 25.8 pf vs. 18.3 pa
So NEP scored 4 more points on average and gave up 1.6 fewer points against the same opponents.

PIT loses to MIA and NEP beats them not once, but twice

But please keep talking about what a soft schedule the Patriots had.  So soft that they dominated the common opponents between Pats and Steelers by a TD per game. 5.6  rounded up = 6 points

Great write up BB. I'm definitely on the Packers in this NFC game, although I give ATL credit for their season. As a die-hard Peyton Manning fan, I can't deny that Brady and Rodgers are two of the greatest to ever have played the position. 

Packers vs Pats SB 31-30 pack is my prediction.

Rodgers is the goat. No doubt imo. But the Atlanta defense "vanilla". Not sure about that. I would think over would be a great play if you think atl d is inferior. On pats... the pitt defense is vanilla. Holes everywhere and Brady will expose them. Chiefs had a great qb like Brady it would have been a 20+ point victory. I was at the game and then watched it again Monday on dvr. The TV didn't show anything that was really going on and the broadcasters did a horrible job explaining what was actually available to the Chiefs. At least 5 times maclin had burned the secondary by 5-10 yds and was jumping up and down upset. I lost count how many times Hill was all alone. The crowd was furious and rightly so. But watching the game on tv it didn't show any of that. So the wager for that game for myself will be pats tt over. I wouldn't recommend fading beginnerboy. So I will pick around his plays. Gla

I agree that going up against Alex Smith is not the best indicator of how well your defense is playing. He is risk averse so I am sure you are right about them leaving points on the table. However, Tomlin also realized that and knew the Steelers could win the game without scoring a TD, so the Steelers offense was also very conservative. The Steelers offense can certainly keep pace with NE. I think the game will come down to who makes more mistakes, and that certainly favors NE because Big Ben has a bit of the gunslinger in him. But if the Steelers don't commit turnovers, then l really like their chances.

you mean the pass interference called at the end of the game, or the huge to many men in the huddle calls. opps those went against the cowboys. 

Can you clarify the holding calls that were called against the packers and similiar plays that were not called against the cowboys. i will rewatch to see if your point stands. please use times in game as evidence

Montana is 3rd behind Brady and Rodger, sorry look up his career stats.

Rodgers has benefited from a much stronger supporting cast and has played 4 less years than Brady.  Brady has done more with a far inferior supporting cast compared to either Montana or Rodgers, its not even close.

Brady has gotten a free pass to the SB almost every year because of how bad the AFC is. LOL. Montana had to face the Giants, Bears, Redskins (teams coached by legends like Gibbs, Parcells a young Belichick, Ditka and Buddy Ryan). It's not even close buddy.

How many years did Montana throw to Rice?

Are you arguing Brady's stats would not be even more ridiculous if he had Rice to throw to for that many years?

You can try and spin it all you want but....nobody and I mean nobody at the football water cooler and sports media mentioned the Falcons as superbowl contenders this season.  Then all the sudden you have football experts discussing Matt Ryan and the Falcons like they are season ticket holders...

From a gamblers perspective it can get annoying because we followed these teams for years trying to get a read on who to wager on. In the process we know these teams alot more than sports talk media and joe public.  Now all the sudden THEY are the experts

Not to mention the quarterback emphasis on safety back then....Montana would throw the ball and 1...1...thousand....2....1...thousand....3....1 thousand then get hit by a defensive player and it would be LEGAL.  The pounding these quarterbacks took after throws back then had to take a toll on their bodys every week.  Did you see Brady when clowney was hitting him after throws?

I think GB was lucky in the sense that they played NYG at Home in the cold

Then they play against a Dallas Cowboys team that lost steam starting when they took the Philly game off and then had a week of rest due to a 1st round bye...came out cold as fck

ATL on the other hand had a bye and still came out hot vs a Seattle Defense that may not be what it was but is still pretty tough ..
Now they play a GB Def @ home in the last game in the Georgia Dome ....

This is dead on. Heard Steve Young today on his weekly radio show and he said the same thing. He said the offenses he and Joe ran and the way defenses were allowed to play back then and the pounding they took were not QB statistics friendly. He said he wishes he could play with today's QB/offense friendly rules and formations like the pistol, etc...

Inflate Brady's numbers similarly and you have 2x the GOAT he already is.

What Young said trumps everything as far as stats go. Brady is practically playing a different sport. The hits Montana and Young took, not to mention the fear of taking such hits, and the way defenses could play, etc... No way Brady would still be playing under those rules. He would have retired 5 years ago, with only 2-3 SB wins.
