anybody think it&#x27;s a little odd, that combined, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning attempted 39&#x2B;45 = 84 passes?&#xD;&#xA;84 passes.... and not one pass intereference call.... not one defensive holding call?&#xD;&#xA;I only as because the whole year I have been screaming at the TV "he didn&#x27;t touch him" &#xD;&#xA;how about offensive holding?&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m saying both ways.... isn&#x27;t it odd there was no involvement by the refs...&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;d rather have less involvement than more... but in a season where penalties have decided games..... isn&#x27;t this strange?

Bookie... Scott Green&#x27;s crews are notorious for not calling penalties, as someone pointed out earlier in the week...&#xD;&#xA;then again, Scott Green&#x27;s crews are also notorious for being involved in games that wreak of fishiness...&#xD;&#xA;there were defensive holding calls all over the place, especially in the 2nd half... refs did a great job swallowing their whistles... played a heck of a game, if you ask me...

Your money was lost as soon as you bet the COLTS. Show me one aspect of the game last night that the COLTS were better. Just one please. You made a bad choice ICE get over it, shit happens. I was a little concerned that the fix was in early when I noticed almost all of covers was on two plays regarding the coin toss:  (1) Saints will call "tails" and (2) toss will come "tails." &#xD;&#xA;gfinger... what was wrong with it is that it was very clear EVEN IN LIVE motion that the Colts recovered it... in slow motion it was even more clear...&#xD;&#xA;two refs were right there on the spot to see that... but they instead let a ridiculous scrum ensure and gave the Saints the ball...&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;watch the play... the Saints guy almost had it, but he let it slip behind his back and under his legs... he was reaching underneath him to try to get the ball when the two Colts players came in, and in one angle you can clearly see one of them scooping the ball into his arm... at that point, he had possession... but the refs instead allowed the play to continue... and after about a 12 hour scrum, one ref signalled Colts Ball... only to be over-ruled by a different ref...

[/Quote]The Saints were the right side I agree, but NO did not dominate the Colts like you apparently want to believe.  Hell the Saints didn&#x27;t hold a lead very long into the second half until that pick six sealed the fate.  So I definately would not say Ice lost his money once he placed the bet.  Frankly, Can&#x27;t-well playing chicken $hit at the end of the first half and beginning of the second half is what lost the Colts backers money.To answer you question... INDY played much better defense as a whole than NO.  They had the lone sack, they hell NO to two LONG FGs in the first half and stopped them on fourth and goal.  They played great run D all game long.  If it weren&#x27;t for the injury too Freeney that ultimately slowed him down in the 2H then INDY&#x27;s D might have dominated in the 2H too.Joesph Addai had a great game and controlled the tempo and provided a balanced offense for INDY.  NO didn&#x27;t have the same running attack to provide balance.So you can see this wasn&#x27;t a dominated performance but NO made the plays down the stretch when they needed them most and clearly outcoached Can&#x27;t-well and wanted the game = NO wins.  BOL!

[/Quote]Ice that is football.  Those scrums occur all the time with live balls and they have been told to let it happen until there is no more movement than blow a play dead pre-maturely.  Frankly, this goes back to what I said above, NO wanted it more.  If Baskett or anyone else on INDY wanted that ball that bad they would have done whatever it takes to recover it.  They didn&#x27;t = NO wins.

Well a scrum is a scrum really. Possession is up for grabs in those piles to be honest. You can't really blame the refs for not seeing who had the ball within a second with all those dudes piling on. If it was really questionable, you'd think that the Indy players and coaches would have put up more of an argument, which they didn't. Either way, if Baskett didn't suck, the scrum would have been a non factor, right? Also one thing the refs completely missed during that play was an Indy playing (I believe it was #28), intentionally kicking a Saints player right in the nuts during that scrum too. Dude should have been ejected, no questions.

i wouldn&#x27;t necessarily call it a well officiated game....just much less intrusive on the outcome.....they missed many defensive holds, mostly1st half on Dallas Clarke. Strange game overall from an officiating point of view. I think with all the uproar all season about the bad referees the last thing the NfL wanted was a SB that was marred by yet more bad calls....or worse yet biased calls. ....so they passed the word...swallow the whistles. Certainly sped up the game....might have been one of the shortest in quite a while

Not saying that happend last night cuz i'm not sure but I don't understand the whole scrum thing... If a player has possession and gets touched while on the ground he is down, end of play, period. I never got why the ref's give the ball to whoever comes out with it 5 minutes later.
