Lipps, watched a game last night on Vip Box, never had such a clear audio & video....ever.....I noticed at the bottom right hand corner of the screen posted for the first time by Vip Box was: www.XSplit.com was this the reason of the clarity? a new innovation to streaming? I was watching the Calgary-vs-Anaheim game, BeeTV? couldn't find it anywhere else. are you familiar with this application? could you share your IT knowledge, and give me an outline as to what www.XSplit.com is, and how it works to coincide with streaming 'live' sporting events? appreciate any efforts/information you may have in regards...thanks

It is a great streaming program that most gamers use to showcase their playing.  Sorta like Twitch. Although as you see it can be used for any event you want to stream.  Also not just a live event, many are recording a webcast and using xsplit to stream afterwards. 

They use very good compression to be able to push such a great stream.  But it does depend on the speed of your local internet connection. It uses what is called adaptive bitrate which will change the speed of the stream depending on network conditions. 

They have a free version to use if you want to play around with it.
