250 million for 49%. Don't know what to say to that.
Wait till Florida, Carolina and a few others join in. Good luck.

49% ownership might as well be 0%...no billionaire wants to be anyones 2nd fiddle...this team is destined to fail and should end up in Quebec City in a perfect world, but lets give our friends in Regina a shot at the big show...do they have a modern NHL ready arena built over there? I know the people in Saskatchewan would be one of the best fans in the league to support their team.

Ummm...Ben. As you have no doubt read Seattle is supposedly in line to get an expansion team due to the big $$$ there and a rabid fan base for hockey. I was merely bringing up the point that instead of adding another team to the NHL...that they could take a struggling one (in an area that doesn't support hockey) to a thriving place like Seattle.

Arizona had a rabid fan base also before ratboy took a team there. I cant wait to see how they change expansion draft to help this team.

Regardless of population, that arena in Regina would be sold out for a decade upon inception...Winnipeg Jets are slightly more populated than Regina and are arguably the best fans in the NHL...its only a pipedream for me to see Regina get a hockey team in the NHL i realize that, but it would be a very successful franchise if given the chance to prove it...the people of Sask would live breathe and die for their team all year round.

Dallas 5th largest television market (in the U.S)
San Jose (San Fran, Oakland) 8th largest TV market (in the U.S)
Atlanta 9th largest TV market (in the U.S)
Phoenix 11th largest TV market (in the U.S)
Atlanta has apprx 6 million in the metro and Greater Atlanta area. They probably averaged 5,000 per game with 100% of those tickets marked down. And on the TV side, their own families didn't watch them play. So many should rethink their distorted view on this. Quebec City has a population of 900,000 if that. The new arena would seat 18,000 every game and get 400,000 viewing on TV. Those cities mentioned above wouldn't move or be on the verge of bankruptcy if people were watching. Just adding that Phoenix has been in the league since 1996 and played IN PHOENIX till 2003. They are going onto their 22nd season of losing money and no one watching. When is this robbing Peter to give to Paul gonna finally end? When the biggest façade commissioner in history is killed or goes into hiding. That's when.

There is a ton of corporate dollars in Seattle. They Call it Amazon world! Being here in Vancouver ppl were buying up season tickets left and right. It will be an enormous success!
Winnipeg gets done a ton of favours with home games on Friday and Sundays so ppl from Kenora, Dryden, Brandon can make the commute.
Regina would never ever work!
Quebec City is a growing market with corporate dollars from Quebecor but it pales in comparison to cities like Houston and Seattle.
