MIN/NYI over 6 -110I’m not interested in going back to see what the Over is hitting at for the season with this team. I know its heavily in our favor. Vegas adjusted and brought a lot of their games up to 6 ½. That adjusted over would still hit at a heavy rate for us also. Suddenly Halak and Greiss became brick walls and stopped 50 and then 45 shots back-to-back. That’s an anomaly. This team still gives up the most high-quality scoring chances against and even though they won with two shut outs, you can see the shots against are still raining down upon their goalies. Now its time for a regression back to normal Islander results—an offense that can score and a defense that gives up way too much.
I’ve got leans on WASH/BUF over if Holtby is in net. He’s a diff guy statistically on the road. Very early this morning I see Grubauer projected.
I also like Boston ML (-130?) on the road in Calgary as well as Nashville PL (+145?) at home against Ottawa both coming off surprising losses so expecting a bounce back from each.
Confirmation on all three coming this afternoon.

Nashville coming off more than just a loss. It's actually 2 straight losses both at home and 4 losses in their last 6 games with one of those losses being to these same senators last week. The preds' last 3 wins have all required overtime and/or a shootout. They haven't won a hockey game in regulation since February 3 against the Rangers which almost doesn't even count as a win lol. They simply have not been playing well for a while now but i guess if there was ever a viable they're due scenario tonight's revenge game against the sens would be it.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

With the Sens 6-3 and Nashville playing as they have its actually an ideal time to think about backing the dog, probably. So more of a gut call to this team simplifying their game to salvage this home stand with a strong win against a weaker opponent.
And yes, wins against my Rangers hardky qualify these days, lol.

WASH/BUF over 5 ½ -125I was waiting for Holtby versus Lehner but I’ll take Grubauer versus Chad Johnson as well. Chad Johnson always plays his best when I bet against him but he’s due to be his normal sh*tty self at some point when I side against him. He’s worse at home with an .867 Save% and 4.32 GAA. For Washington, they’ve been outshot in 9-straight and Grubauer’s road stats take a dip so that plus shooting on Mr. Johnson spells over, which is also 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. For argument’s sake…over is 6-1 in Buffalo’s last 7 as well. Good convergence.
BOS -128I won’t spout Boston’s record over the last 3 months. We all know its good and the losses have been few and far between. We’re all shocked when they have that bad loss, which they had their last time out so expecting a bounce-back here. Good match-up here as well as we have Calgary, who I’ve written about before, a team that doesn’t seem to get results at home. With Smith hurt, they’re leaning on Rittich, who has given up 11 goals in his last 3 (4.55) and was pulled his last time out. At home in 3 appearances, he has stumbled to a .720 Save% and 7.04 GAA
NASH -1 ½ +135Some of you were surprised when Nashville lost at home to Calgary but I was on The Flames in that game. I did however expect the bounce-back to occur the next game at home. Now we have a nice situational play here with an elite team like The Preds having lost two straight on home ice. They get to right the ship against an Ottawa club, that despite being 6-3 in their last 9 outings, are just not very good. Expecting the Preds to tighten up all facets of their game in front of the home crowd.

I admit I should have been on LAK today. Completely blew that. Imo, in team sports, when a team breaks a long losing streak, like The Hawks just did, they get that "thank god" relief type of feeling that they finally got the win and it usually causes them to lose the edge they need the following game. Good spot for the Kings. Bah.

Early yet and they outshot them 8-4 in the 1st. I'd wait it out and see where you're at going into the 3rd then potentially hedge it on the live board if you can. And if its close...just let it ride.

BOS -130We all know Bruins had a stinker two games back but since mid-November they’re a ridiculous 30-6-4. Now they get the Oilers who just snapped a season long 6-game losing streak. I mentioned somewhere that I like betting against teams that finally break long losing streaks because they get that sigh of relief and lose the edge of trying to win games the next time out and here’s that situation...if you needed anything other than to simply says it’s the Bruins versus The Oilers.
FLA/TB over 6 -130Panthers offense got stymied a bit its last time out in Winnipeg but that’s nothing for this young team to be ashamed of. Overall, they’re 7-2 in their last nine and the offense has been generating goals at a 3.77 per game clip. Another team scoring goals in bunches has been The Leafs. 11-3 in their last 14 scoring an average clip of 3.92 per game. Gets even better on home ice where they’ve won 6-straight and have scored 31 goals in the process (5.16 per game!).
Away for the rest of the day. Good luck, everybody!
