PIT TT O2.5 -165 Penguins offense has scored 3 or more goals in 7-straight and 18 of 21 games since the calendar flipped.
PIT -1 ½ +245
PIT/CAR over 5 ½ -120
VGK -1 ½Well, The Golden Knights showed how deep their roster is on Thursday night. After outshooting Anaheim 33-20 but getting shut out on Tuesday, they bounced back in a big-way to throttle a very good road team in Calgary and they did so without James Neal and Shea Theodore. Now they get to cap off this homestand with a traveling Canucks team who begin a short Western Swing in Sin City. Look for the “expansion” Vegas club to come out strong as a win would put them atop the point lead in the NHL.
Good luck to all!

We're on a lot of the same sides here (might be a bad thing for you! lol) and my write up on Pittsburgh was almost identical. Now that Hank isn't in net, because you and I both know he's their best player regardless of what everybody else thinks, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the wild as well. Certainly doesn't help that Nash is held out again either.

I wrote that last night with the assumption Lundqvist was playing so I didn't really care much who was in net. They just can't score and lack depth. If you're gonna lose to Montreal and get squashed by Ottawa and shut out by the Isles...can't see them beating Minny.

Yeah well I thought that when they played the Jets a few weeks ago and Lundqvist won them had game by himself and cost me $2400 lol. still salty about that.

He's played well all season so he can do it from time to time but the weight of having to stand on yoru head game-in and game-out now with the way this team gives up scoring chances is too much for a 35-year old goalie. Even he's going to get knocked down a peg mentally and physically. At this point, he's shot. I'd actually be more worried about the kid tonight. He's playing with nothing to lose and looked good yesterday. I still think the same thing happens though...he'll get worn down by the constant barrage of scoring chances and let up a few regardless of how well he plays.

PHL -133I very much like The Flyers in this road spot. Ottawa had a mini resurgence going 6-3 but now they’ve lost 3-straight. This is a team that has struggled to score as well as play defense all season long and they just traded away Derick Brassard. He was playing co-number 1 minutes with Duchene and what impresses me about Brassard was his -1 on a team that is -48 in goal differential. Gotta give him credit for that with the minutes he was out there each game. This is not a team with a lot of firepower or depth so losing someone like him will hurt. For Philly, its Petr Mrazek time. I’ve always liked the guy. Two years back he was an up-and-coming #1 goalie and then the wheels fell off last year. I think it was more of a confidence problem playing on a below average team…his season was akin to a snowball rolling downhill and he just couldn’t recover mentally. Change of scenery should do him well…and now he’s on a team that can score a bit more and offer support. This Philly team really has made a run since their long losing streak and are on a 24-8-3 stretch of hockey wherein more recently they’ve won 8 of 9 and 4 straight. They catch Ottawa, trading away a top player, playing their third game in four nights and fourth game in six nights.
PHL -1 ½ +215
COL +145Speaking of a goalie whose wheels have fallen off; enter David Rittich. He was having a superb season backing up Mike Smith but since Smith went down with an injury and the full-time roll has fallen on Rittich’s shoulders…its rolling downhill with the 2016-17 Mrazek snowball. Calgary has struggled at home this year and none more so than Rittich where he posts a .842 Save% and 4.38 GAA at The Saddledome. Overall since he took over for Mike Smith, he has gone 1-4 with an .861 Save% and 4.46 GAA. Colorado, especially the offense was rolling along, and were a top 5 offense in terms of goals per game, until Nathan MacKinnon missed 17 games due to injury. During that stretch they scored only 17 goals in 8 games (2.1). MacKinnon is back and should get better as each game passes so here now in game 4 back, expect the rust to be gone and the offense to start picking it up again. A shaky Rittich versus a solid Avs offense could lead to a nice road upset here.

NYI/NJ over 6 ½ -110 Keith Kinkaid continues to be very average for New Jersey. On the season he sports a save percentage below .900 and his GAA since taking over for injured Corey Schneider is a well above league average 3.15. The Islanders continue to be The Islanders—score a lot (4), give up a lot (31). Devils just acquired Michael Grabner from the Rangers which adds a nice speed element to their game. And let’s not forget the red-hot Taylor Hall who must be salivating for this match-up. After those back-to-back shut outs from The Isles, they’ve gone back to high scoring affairs with the over hitting in their last two. Let’s make it three.
Good luck everybody!
