USA can score this Canadian team can’t. Also they take a lot of penalties and the USA power play will have lots of chances. George has to steal the game for Canada to have a chance. Cameron can’t coach and they didn’t pick the best players. He brought Pinelli one of his players from the 67s over Misa the leading scorer in the OHL who is an absolutely pure goal scorer. What’s this teams problem they can’t score.

Good writeup.
Out of curiosity, are you a Canadian or an American?
With your input on the Canadian roster and head coach, I would tend to think you are from Canada.

It’s actually a completely meaningless game, both teams are advancing, it just decides who you play in the next round when the games then do actually mean something. History tells us you’re almost better losing a game like this because when two top teams meet again in the medal round the opposite usually happens and the teams split the two meetings most of the time. Either way it should be a fun game, enjoy and happy new year !!!!!
Canada no longer plays with the toughness or tenacity they were always known for. They have lost what set them apart from everyone including the softer college American players. Canada itself now has softer players that play a finesse game. Canada has already been bounced from the Spengler Cup and there is zero reason America should not win this tournament again. Canada has lost its identity as a nation as well as on the ice.

Good writeup PB.
However no game is ever meaningless when the States and Canada get together in a hockey game. Also, the winner of tonight's game receives an inferior opponent in the next round.

Canada obviously haven't look very good so far other than the Finland game so either they aren't very good or they have been playing down to their competition? I am from Canada and really don't want to bet against them but I do think the States have been the better team up until now.
I found an over 6.5 +105 so will go for that tonight for a small wager.
Go Canada Go!
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

I'm located about 3 miles from the Canadian Tire Center and it's going be an electric atmosphere in that building tonight - maybe even worth a goal or a couple of penalties in Canada's favor.

Not necessarily inferior just in a lower seed, it really means next to nothing other than hurray we won, then both get ready for the games that actually matter.

If you want the gold you’ll have to beat them then. Canadian kids put silver and bronze medals in boxes in the basement. You play for gold so you’ll need to beat whoever is in the way at some point. Canada probably won’t even get a medal….again. Fewer and fewer Canadians can afford to put their kids into hockey in this country so less and less do every year.

Well that two-some didn't fare very well. I had to wonder about your Sharks pick, who came into this game against the Flyers on a seven game losing skid.
Thankfully I stayed clear of that disaster.

There's a big difference in talent between Czechia and Switzerland and that now is who Canada the the States have to play respectively.

We have very different definitions of what a HUGE game is and it’s all good. If Canada is concerned about the Czech on Canadian soil then they shouldn’t even be there, and from what I’ve seen from this team they probably shouldn’t even be there. Couldn’t beat Latvia and just edged by the last place Germans. Unless they’re playing possum, this is the weakest Canadian junior team I’ve ever seen in my life. Also without Russia present, our true rival, these international hockey events lose some meaning in my opinion.

They should be very much concerned, as the Czechia team is not all that bad. Hopefully the Canadian squad learned a lesson last night in that they have to be more disciplined and stay clear of the penalty box. Way too many penalties against the U.S.. We'll see how they fare tomorrow.
