Toronto - Carolina under 6 -120 - This is the 3rd meeting this season. Toronto won on November 11th 3:2 in Carolina. On November 19th Carolina rallied to win 6:5 in a shootout. Toronto built an early 1st period lead and had the lead with 3 seconds left in the game until Erik Cole tied the game. A look at the game sees 10 goals scored, but this is with Legace filling in for an injured Ward and Gustavsson was gaining experience. Tuomo Ruutu had 4 assists that night. He's injured. Both teams have problems scoring. In Toronto's last 14 games, the Maple Leafs have scored more than 3 goals only once. In Toronto's last 5 games, they're averaging 1.80 goals for. At home, the Maple Leafs are averaging 2.36 goals scored while Carolina is averaging only 2.10 goals for on the road. Furthermore, Carolina has scored more than 3 goals only twice in 21 road games. Behind stellar goaltending from Cam Ward, Carolina has also tightened up defensively allowing only 1.80 goals in their last 5. Ward is 3-1 with 1.73 gaa and .944 save % in January. Toronto has allowed a team to score more than 3 goals in only 2 of their last 11 home games. The under is the most probable outcome here.
If anyone wants some info about other games, ask and I'll share what I think. I couldn't find much interest in Tuesday's games though.
