Reasons why I am nervous for Canada today

1. Line is -400 which is ridiculous so either puck line or regulation only options.

2. Makar still not feeling well...GTD

3. Binnington has looked very shaky.

4. Marner played scared (again) last game.

5. Marchand looks like the old man he is. Why is he even on the team?

6. The "Tampa Bay line" looks like sheeet.

7. Pressure, this is a must win.

8. They look very soft getting beat on most puck battles so far.

9. Could very easily be 0-2 and Finland has played just one bad period so far. Bottom line they haven't looked very good so far.

10. Mackinnon has just looked average so far, he needs to be better.

There are a few reasons why I have little confidence going into today's game. 

So are you sure it's Binnington today? 

Hey Filly, nothing confirmed yet but is Hill really that much better regardless of who starts? 

Good point but he can't be any worse. Both U.S. goals on Thursday were questionable, particularly the first one, which took away what momentum Canada had at the time. Binnington also looked shaky on a couple of goals against Sweden in the opening game. Hill is a much bigger body and covers more of the net as well. Just my opinion(s). Makar's status is also huge heading into this afternoon's game. 

Good points. Team USA beat them to just about every loose puck. Team Canada just looks slow. Binnington stinks. There's no way they should be anywhere near this big of a favorite. 

It's a tough call but maybe starting Hill will wake these guys up? Can't just blame the goaltending they just didn't look very dangerous against the States. 

Yes minus McJesus they look very slow. Not impressed with them at all. 

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of Jordan Binnington. 

I don’t think their goalie matters in this one. Game will be won and lost with team Canada’s forwards against lindell and mikkola. Looking slow against the states is one thing, looking like an offensive juggernaut against suspect defensemen is another….is shaky Lankinen playing again?

Line now -450 and rising....Puckline -1.5-160 Regulation around -300. 

Will have to look for some props for some action on this game. These lines are beyond insane.

Lankinen is starting maybe over 6 is a play? 

It’s at 6.5 now. Finland might get 2. ( don’t think we’ll see a rantanen sighting today tho) Canada can get at least 5. Vegas is daring us to play the under. 

I still think the play is Canada -2.5 @ +125

also like the game going to OT +500  (with canada still winning, makes g2 today more interesting)

plus the bet365 superboost for mackinnon, but wouldn't be surprised if that loses.. those super boost are super sus.

I grabbed PL -140 yesterday morning on Pinny.  figured it was gonna steam.  6 was available at -110 (Bovada) and grabbed that, too. 

This game should be a 5-2 6-1 type beatdown, but when you add in that pressure angle, how many times do teams wilt...

 That Marchand anytime goal is tempting considering the circumstances. He has looked terrible so maybe today he picks his game up.

We have a "family day" holiday here so quite happy about that. We got about 2 feet of snow this weekend so digging out of that. It's borderline heart attack snow so going slowly lol. 

Canada will struggle to score imo. They win 2-1 or something like that. I told friends Canada would have a hard time scoring as soon as Scheifele was left off the team. Top Canadian scorer not even playing. Sweeney deserves what he gets. This is the same GM that overlooked Kyle Connor in the draft not once not twice but three times in the draft before the Jets took him!

Canada pissed... I'll take Canada tt over.  

Not sure why leaving Scheifele off the team would have an effect on Canada's overall ability to score as a team. 

That (snow shoveling) was my day yesterday, LOL.  Heavy slushy stuff, and blower was barely moving it.  Both kids living at home currently (both commuting to finish degrees) and both had flu so I lost my workforce.  4 fucking hours of slush removal.  I'm surprised I can actually move today...

Once I sit down for more than 10 minutes when I try to get up I can barely move. 

Hopefully it's an exciting game with little sitting lol.
