Vancouver= Even in Chicago they don't riot after a loss.
All high and mighty Vancouver fans who guaranteed a Canucks Stanley Cup Championship, especially Clepto have to CHOKE on their words just like the Canucks did.(Daniel Sedin) Not only did you not win game 7, you lost 4-0. Thanks for playing (or in this case not playing TOOL). Go Blackhawks!!!

At the end of the day, your team still lost in the first round.  Terrible showing by a one and done champion.

And for the record, you still have to live in Chicago - great city with 16.08 murders per 100,000 people.  NICE.  Vancouver, only 2.62 murders per 100,000 people.  So while the riot was a black eye, Vancouver is still a much better AND safer city than Chicago.  Have fun, and watch your back.

In 1993 when Toronto got robbed from going to the Stanley Cup by Kerry (I didn't see it) Fraser and lost in game 7 to the Kings nothing like this happened at all so you can scratch Toronto off that list. The Leafs have suffered other deep playoff defeats and there was never any bullshit on the streets over it.

And entire city should not get labeled for the stupid actions of the few.  I'm pretty sure none of the rioters were covers posters so no need to group them in with the idiots.

watched the big black plume of smoke from my backyard last night.
what an embarrassment.  people in yemen have a great reason to riot.  in syria, bahrain, libya, yes.  in vancouver over a hockey game?!  come on.  i truly think it was a bunch of yahoos from the suburbs that came to town and had a plan to do this.

as to the bruins, hats off.  they played lights out the whole series and outplayed us.   it's a long hard season and maybe if vancouver had a full lineup and was a little healthier it might have gone differently, but in the end boston was better.  well deserved.  we'll get 'em next year, but until then, i'm watching golf.  much more peaceful...

Lets all relax about how bad this was..... the police did a decent job of handling a crowd of over 100,00

... while this appears to reflect bad on the city, its important to remember the "riot" was the direct result of the actions of a few dozen people.....

..... The car burning was PRE-MEDITATED .... hooligans went downtown with flammable liquids and had the intention of starting fires, win or lose.... Add to the fact there is a large crowd, alot of the crowd is drunk, and with the loss the crowd is feeling bad, the actions of a few bad apples act as an ignition point to get alot of other people involved, that normally wouldn't act the way they were.....
