I like to bet on the NFL and I use an online database. You have to know a little bit of coding but it's an extremely valuable tool. How about the NHL? Can anyone point me to an online database for the NHL? This is my first year capping the NHL and was wondering which sites do you use to gather information. I'm using ESPN and NHL.com. Can anyone recommend a podcast? I was searching for one the other day but not much out there as far as I can tell. Good Luck with pucks and thanks in advance for any help.

I dont usually do write-ups.. but Ive been working hard to find these..

If there's any team pissed of the most.. It gotta be the Washington Capitals.. and if there any team that wants to win their fans back.. it gotta be the Toronto Maple Leafs.. Leafs without a WIN at home will just do that.. Ovi love playing in Toronto and the atmosphere here will motivate him to score goals.. Im not sleeping on Phil the thrill yet but this is the game where he have to step up with that sniping ability on a struggling team! I predict 3-3 OVERTIME

Needless to say.. Its clear the Avs are terrible for many reason.. Special team.. no scoring ability.. no confidence.. and most of all.. no toughness without their captain and hard grinder Steve Downie.. Im not sure if Valamov will play B2B games here.. but hes really the only solid player on his team trying to stop pucks going in the net. The defense is really bad.. not to mention this is their last road trip game.. and why not just get it over with on a B2B night and return home! I predict 5-1 Calgary Flames

St.Louis have turn things around last year and have made a impact early season.. Their on a 2 game road trip and cant let this game side easily as they are facing Detroit on a B2B situation! I dont see a reason why I wont take them here against CBJ.. Sure ML is probaly the best bet but this one is more of a gamble for me.. with the extra -1.5 and im confidence that this STL team are capable of doing that!AGAIN this is a gamble game of STL -1.5!! I predict 4-1 St.Louis Blues

The Jets are a complete offensive team.. They should have no problem here in Florida as in the past. BUT I see Florida to be more defensively while the Jets go on a second road trip maybe tired abit while they get ready to play TB on B2B.. this home game and are in need of a WIN.. but Winnipeg will be on top tonight. I predict 3-2 OT Winnipeg Jets

I really like Flames tomorrow against those bad avs....but I got  bad feeling and not sure im ready to lay that juice on calgary.

Tepham, I am tailing you tonight. I made one adjustment and took the Peg to win by -1.5 as well. That 3.40 line was just too tempting versus the ML. If I win 2 out of 4 bets any which way, I'm up.

With you 100% here man. Great trends, good teams, and I don't mind that two of these are road teams. All three picks are coming off of more than one days rest. I actually think this card sets up the best out of any you have played all week.

I bumped Winnipeg -120 up to a 10 unit play personally, and also am taking a 20 unit 2 team parlay on the Flames and Blues.

I am still contemplating some sort of play on the Sabres/Bruins. I hate when my card exceeds this many games...but it may be too tempting. I dont think Buffalo can play with Boston at all. GL!!

I thought about doing that, but I think I see why Tepham made it only a 5U play. Panthers at home, don't have a win yet, they're going to be playing their fools off. Jets on a long road trip, second road game. And look at that line. There "should" be a lot more juice on the Jets. Every time we've seen one of these lines this season where it just seems too easy, Vegas has won. I'm going with Tepham on the small play here. Hopefully it hits and you win even more.

oli_renaud91 Flames have won their last game against Edmonton and have came close with the VAN and ANA.. I think CGY is the best bet in here at home against a struggling Avs.

Thanks Meatsicle. Agree with you about Florida looking for the 1st home win, but when push comes to shove my rule is to take the better talent and better goalie on the ice and simplify. There are only a few places I consider the home crowd to be a HUGE effect on the road team: Winnipeg, San Jose, and Chicago. Those fans always show up and the arenas are hard places to play in. Regardless, GOOO JETS!!!

Added Boston Bruins team total over 3 goals -110 for 10 units and that's it for me tonight. No play on the side or over/under in that game for me and rolling with all of Tepham's plays. Sabres started off the year giving up a low # of goals and winning , but then the defensive unit began getting hurt. Last 4 games goals against: 4,3,3,6. I think Boston can score 3 or more.
