The above conferences and their representatives received automatic qualification for the Division I Men's field.
The top 14 teams have been placed in the bracket, while the remaining four teams will compete for the chance to advance to the round of 16.  Those games will take place Wednesday, May 11 with Hobart traveling to Towson and Hartford playing at Quinnipiac.
The remainder of the field was selected at large: Albany, Brown, Denver, Duke, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Navy.

Maryland received the No. 1 overall seed, and will face the winner of Hartford and Quinnipiac preliminary game, May 15 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. No. 2 seed Denver will play the winner of the preliminary round game between Towson and Hobart May 15 at 3 p.m. Eastern. Notre Dame, the No. 3 seed, will host Air Force May 14 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. The Ivy League champion Yale Bulldogs are the No. 4 seed and will host Navy May 15 at 5:15 p.m. Eastern.

The No. 5 seed Brown Bears will host Johns Hopkins May 14 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Marquette will make its first NCAA Tournament appearance as the No. 6 seed and host North Carolina May 14 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. No. 7 Loyola Maryland will host Duke May 14 at Noon Eastern, while Syracuse will host Albany (New York) as the No. 8 seed May 15 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

Impressive.   I was at that first Loyola/Duke game, and can't really believe that turnaround.  LU wasn't even competitive in that first one.  Spencer has emerged since then, but still, nice call.

I think, if you haven't played Brown before, it's real hard to get ready for them.  I also think Navy still stinks. 14-9 Bears.

UNC will, as always, be poorly coached and play defense like their allergic. Irish are weird.  Might attend this one.  Hate betting Irish, but that earlier loss in Chapel Hill should get them focused for a change. 15-11 Notre Dame.

Maryland looks like the most complete team in the field, but I feel like I've seen this movie before.  Cuse +1.5 will be hard to get away from.  Orange 12-11 in 2OT's after Maryland leads 9-5 at half. 

I'm not sure Towson or Loyola can play any better than they did last week.  I like the Hounds' chances of shutting down Towson more than I like the inverse.  What's the total on this one?  16.5?  I like Loyola 9-7.  Might attend this one too (ok, I'll either attend neither or both, but you get the idea).  Will be an odd atmosphere in empty Horseshoe.  We played a travel tournament final in there last summer.  150 people and 105,000 seats.  Was kind of great.  I was really wasted by that point (and a lot of other points).

I thought I saw Loyola was almost a pickem vs. Towson. I love that. I dont watch much lacrosse till the tourney, but Denver seemed kind of overhyped this year and lived on last year's sucess...lost to a decent Marquette team in the Big East final but that was a big upset imo, Towson is okay, but like you said probably cant pay better than they did vs. Denver. Loyola looked really solid against Duke and had their foot on gas the whole time. Nice run here by the state of Maryland huh? Loyola, Navy, Maryland and Towson all still alive...

I dont get the USC girls line either. I think theyre absolutely worth a shot at +230 vs. Cuse. They might be the better team. USC has had a solid couple seasons. Top 5 team nationally.

I just saw that the USC/Stanford game was played in from of 275 hearty souls in the Coliseum.  I would totally have gone to that.
