McVeigh out for the Bombers?
Uh-oh........................they're in trouble. Scratch that value prediction on the Bombers. Saints look better now, especially, as showme said, their past fixtures were against tough teams so they will be a little undervalued at the moment.
OK, just pulled up the lines. Let's think about first impressions:
As mentioned before, the Saints -18.5 look solid if McVeigh is still out and Lloyd will not be risked. Saints undervalued and hungry. In big trouble if they drop this one to a hurt Essendon. Bombers run-up against a tough defense with main attacking options out.
Adelaide -17.5 might be a winner. The Crows are heaps better than the Dockers, IMO, and I will have to look at the venue stats, histories, and match-ups here. Crows a little under-rated at the moment and the Dockers a little over-rated.
Hawthorn -7.5 looks solid and will probably hit this one unless I find something to scare me off.
Roos +9.5 look value, but a lot here to look at, especially since the Pies will be fired up after that crushing loss to Richmond. Will have to look into it some more to see what there is in it.
Sydney +25.5 looks great....but looks can be deceiving. Who would have thought Sydney would be getting 25.5 in any round?! Geelong is the top team in the League at the moment, but they have not be truly tested yet. They only beat the Dees by 30. Again, a lot of things here could be misleading, but will have to look into it. Definitely not considering taking the Cats in this spot as Sydney will consider this the match of the season so far and they will be out to steal the limelight away from Geelong (and the Hall debacle).
Melbourne/Carlton...who knows. Haven't much thought about this one yet. Could be something here though. Will have a think later.
Bulldogs -19.5 look solid, especially with Richmond being tired and in a letdown situation after their big win last round. Bulldogs are solid Top 4 material and will be looking to solidify that with a pounding here, especially since either the Cats or Swans will fall this round.

Not sure about the ability of WC right now to get up. Port is a strong team which battles hard and that should concern the Eagles. Have to check on the injury status of WC though before anything can be firmly said about this match. The line shouldn't be too many points and if WC is still banged up, I like the desperation of Port to be a big factor in this one.
As far as head-to-heads go:
Hawthorn at 1.68 is very nice. Although the -7.5 is not a lot to give up in this spot.
Roos at 2.20 look a nice value, but may be enticed with the head-start if all things shake-out and the Kangas are backable this round.
Sydney is very enticing at 4.40 and worth a shot. That is at least a dollar too huge in my estimation and the books will have to risk it to avoid the public pounding the shit outta Geelong.....who stand at a very paltry 1.18. Insulting to the Swans indeed.

David Hille didn't train yesterday. He was suffering from a pinched nerve in his shoulder parts of last game and was unable to lift his arm. If I find he's out I'm playing the Saints BIG, without McVeigh and Hille they will be screwed

And apart from the bad game against Syd they have played 'good' footy. Lade will play his 200th game, they are a better running side, have shit loads of more scoring options than West Coast. Like last week I just won't see where the scoring is going to come from. Last week they scored 5 goals but had 20 shots on goal. Port scored 16 goals with 24 shots on gaol...but lets look at the fact they had 15 shots on goal by half time, and you know the rest of the story with Port after this half time.
I just won't see how the Eagles with their limited play makers like last week can we see them testing the midfield strength of Ports.
GL gentleman on your plays, but I think with will be a good spot and game for me, and probably won't play any others as this is getting to be the funny part of the season as sides have played a few games now, and apart from Geel & prob Syd (excl Hall being out at the moment) sides may become inconsistent. Very interesting. I don't know if that line is like that because of the travel factor WA->TAS->QLD or if it has to do with matchups. Hawks will get trounced in the middle Lappin, Black, Power and this new kids Luenberger is a great find.
