Well, he averaged 29 in his 7 digs, highlighted by a masterful top score of 46.

But he did have the extra string in his bow of being a devastating leg spin bowler, as evidenced by his 5 wickets at 68.

Great value on South Africa I'd have thought. Australia had its chance to nail them in the last test and couldn't do it... And used up a hell of a lot of gas in doing so. 

Their bowling attack for this third test is total behind.

Exactly, because the bowling attack was pedestrian, especially when Pattinson broke down.

I think the Australian team is much stronger with Watson and Starc replacing Quiney and Hilfenhaus. Even Mitch's occassional good ball will be far more threatening then the garbage Hilfenhaus trundles out.
