Everybody remember to say their last goodbyes to Brett Lee over the next couple of days, this could / SHOULD be the last we ever see of him at test level.

sad to see him spiral down so quickly because he's a class act as a bloke

ummm for fcuk's sake Ponting, how much of a first innings lead do you want ?? ie, summons Lee to fine leg for the rest of the afternoon.
 
This is not the time or the place to try and bowl an out of form bowler back into form

wtf is Symonds' even doing in this test ? He was selected despite carrying an injury that supposedly curtailed his (cough) "allrounder" status.

Therefore unless the selectors consider him one of the top six batsmen in Australia, then, WHY ?

I still question why he was afforded such an easy passage back into the test team in the first place.

Symonds is a terrific bloke to have coming in when the runs are flowing, but he doesn't have the technique or the temperament to cope with situations like he faced today, on a consistent basis. 

Until the Australian selectors desist with their allrounder obsession, Shane Watson is the best player to have in this role.

Australia needs to set SA at least 220 here.
 
Then they need to pay Mick and Craig from Footscray to drive their Torana in tonight and perform some circle work on the wicket

had 350 on the draw at 1.55 yesterday
then today put 500 on SA at 2.20 and then another 500 on them at 1.80.

If the aussies found a way to win this it would hurt.

As much as our bowlers have been maligned, Australia's batsmen have really lost the ability to occupy the crease for long periods of time.
 
Self destruction is a habit amoung our top six.
