YTD: 40-26

So we are into the 2nd last weekend before we hit the playoffs. The top 4 sides have now been determined but their seedings can change. Some big games this weekend.

Thursday Night is a no touch game. Brisbane vs the Hawks. Brisbane has just released Buford for the season and these 2 teams have absolutely nothing to play for at all. 

Friday night we have a good game, Melbourne at home vs the NZ Breakers. They actually have a double header against each other this weekend with the return game in NZ on Sunday so thats a crazy turn around. They finish around 10pm on Friday night, so they will both fly out on the Saturday from Melbourne airport and then play the following day on Sunday at 1.10pm in the afternoon. Thats just crazy, I know the flight is only 3.5 hours but still, bit of travel on a short turn around. Line is currently at Melbourne -5.5. The game afterwards is Perth vs Cairns and line is at -10.5 which is about right as Cairns horrible on the road and going to a very tough venue on a Friday night. 

Saturday game is a no play.. Kings vs Brisbane

Sunday like I mentioned, is the NZ hosting Melbourne and then the Hawks hosting Adelaide. Good spot for Adelaide after they pulled apart the Wildcats. Just waiting on injury news on that game and the Hawks will be coming from Brisbane after Thursday night.

NZ Breakers @ Melbourne: Melbourne -5.5

HUGE game!! A win tonight would seal top spot for Melbourne and I doubt they want to go across to NZ later this weekend and try and win over there,

Melbourne sits at 17-7 with 3 to go
NZ sits at 15-9 with 3 to go
Adelaide 16-10 with 1 to go
Perth 15-10 with 2 to go

A win tonight for Melbourne claims top spot because NZ wouldn't reach 18 wins, Adelaide can't and either can the Wildcats. So its all down to tonight. With the travel NZ has endured the past fortnight, I expect a total domination game from Melbourne.

14-0 run to end gamecocks and cover the line. Just nuts how close close these odd makers get the lines and totals. Pretty sure the total was 173.5

definitely no play for me maybe in that game. If the total is high than I might play the under but no play on the spread. If Cairns can hold this lead vs Perth and win, then I will have my biggest play on Sunday.

grab that line now if you are tailing. I got it at William Hill. Other books have -3.5 already.

just for the record aussie,

new zealand still can grab top spot. 

they have 3 games left to play. if melbourne lose their remaining 3 and the breakers win their next 3 both teams are tied on top spot and breakers would go first due to them having a higher total points difference

Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention. I have no idea why I thought these teams only play 27 games instead of 28. That means that Melbourne most likely won't be resting players tomorrow but that makes me like NZ even more now as the top spot is still on the line and NZ at home are a good team.

Brisbane Bullets @ Sydney Kings: Under 172.5

Kings played good defense before that game last week vs Cairns. The books had that total just at 159.5 and now we get a total over 170. Brisbane release Buford, big loss on their offense and seeing that hit 90+ without him the other night vs the Hawks, I think we see a massive letdown with their offense tonight.

If coach Lemanis decides to junk up the D, then the under has a really good chance of hitting. But what I saw on Thurs when the Bullets scored 99 points was that they were free flowing up and the down the court. I expect the Kings will run & gun on their their home floor & can see the Bullets obliging as well. 
Hence I'm on the over.

Adding a player prop.

Tom Jervis over 7.5 rebounds

 Last game he grabbed 6 because Buford grabbed 10. No BUFord tonight, and if this game is a brick fest like I think it’s going to be then he will be grabbing boards everywhere.

You certainly could be right D-Play. The difference for me is that Lisch will hopefully be all over Trice and will really try and slow him down on the offensive end..

Not even sure now if Jervis is playing. Bullets don't update their twitter too often
