Just so you know, it didn't take 2 games for Chipper to find an injury. Looks as though he bruised his wittle thumb so he will miss 200 games now. Such a pussbag.
Still like the Braves in this one though.

I got the Twins at a bargain -129 yesterday and played RL about +160 as well (think I posted about it) and now it's -164
Was looking at the Brewers at the same time yesterday +121 and now they are -114? WTF? May have to look hard at SF at this price.
VERY broad generalization here but I think if you bought every favorite the second the lines were released you could scalp and make a profit almost day in and day out. I have no reason why I believe this, but it seems like lines rise much more on favorites than lines drop. That could be due to the fact that 10-20 points of additional juice doesn't stop people from pounding favorites. When you have a spread you can stop people from betting a fave when it goes from -6 to -7.5 However, line movement doesn't seem to have the same effect on money line sports such as baseball. I could be way off here, but I doubt it. I might actually track this for a couple of weeks to see if I am correct. Any thoughts on this?

Speaking of messed up, on the early lines for tomorrow I see the Blue Jays laying -110. Looks like a pretty standard line for two rookie starting pitchers throwing their first ever big league pitches but this Romero guy for the Jays is awful.
He walks everything in sight and IMO will shit his pants tomorrow. He was the 6th overall pick in that great draft a few years ago (05? 06?) and while the guys drafted in front and behind him look like great players he's put together 3 shit years in the minors. The Jays SP is such crap that even though an ERA of around 4.00 Romero got the 5th job to keep the seat warm for Brett Cecil later in the year (IMO this kid will be excellent, has a hard sinker and a great K pitch) and to get a start or two under his belt so Riccardi can't say he was a complete bust and never pitched in the majors (even though so far he's been terrible).
I think a veteran patient lineup like Detroit will wait out the young lefty and let him walk himself out of the game. I'd put the O/U at 4.5 walks for this kid tomorrow before he's yanked.
Having said that the Tigers are starting a rookie as well. Don't know much about Porcello except he's supposed to be good, in the future anyway. Seems a bit rushed to me. He put up good numbers in the spring but I can't find his #'s from the minors last year. And on top of that you have the Tigers bullpen, not sure if I could take two ass rapings from them in the same week.

It's amazing how much the lines have moved. . . My Balty +164 bet is about 22 cents lower now. . . If you can guess line movement in this sport, you can make a mint. I ALMOST laid off Balty at that price because I thought that maybe the Yanks would get pounded with chase players and I could get a better line later today. . . Man I'm glad I didn't.

I knew this line would drop like a rock. Why? I remember watching the opening game at the new Yank stadium last week where Wang looked like garbage. Every casual baseball fan watched that game, let alone every gambler. Also, I figured people would have a knee jerk reaction to the Yanks getting the beating yesterday, a game that many people laid the high priced road chalk with CC and would be gun shy today.
