I think other canadian teams fans hate the Canucks because they keep trying to call them Canadas team
No they just could give a shit about Western Canada.. They know nothing about us and could care less.. But Toronto is the center of the frickin Universe..

I would agree with the whole canadas team moniker though the canucks are not canadas team nor will ever be.

Actually besides being ignorant your post is just dead wrong. I am in Toronto and have been to B.C over a dozen times for extended stays and always love it. Not as big a fan of Vancouver as I am other parts of B.C but that goes for here too as I much prefer some towns and smaller cities outside of Toronto over Toronto itself, I just have a comfort level being born and raised here. Neither Toronto or Vancouver resemble the Canada I grew up in as a kid and the change is much for the worse in both cases so they both dissappoint me as they both get dirtier and more dangerous to live in with each passing year.
Almost everyone here that has been to B.C loves it and Western Canada in general but for whatever reason there is not any love at all for the Canucks with myself included. When Calgary or Edmonton were in the Cup there was a very positive and big buzz in this city for both teams whenever they were there and this city was certainly cheering hard for Calgary to beat Montreal back in 89 as well so you are way off with your assumptions.
Disliking or not caring about a hockey team has nothing to do with the region itself.
To me cheering for Boston is cheering for the more Canadian team both style, charachter and player content wise.

I do remember people being a lot more pro Canucks here in Toronto back in 94 and I was cheering them on hard then too but I guess things have changed with time.

I agree. B.C is beautiful. The problems you cited don't just apply to Tor or Van, it's pretty much to all big cities.

Yes but those two cities particularly are having and will be having tons of issues financially, environmentally and criminal wise due to overwhelming immigration year after year. Those two big cities in Canada take on the very large percentage of all immigrants and refugees coming into Canada and the strain of over population in two cities never designed to support that many people is weighing heavy on both and having negative affects. Quebecs french culture is protected within Canada so Montreal does not get hit and is allowed to protect their distinct culture and avoid the overflow of immigration and thus are not experiencing many of the same problems as Vancouver and Toronto....
