@Biscuiteater1 Think I'm seeing 38f or 3c for kickoff...not super cold...but not warm either Guess I'll check staffords indoor/outdoor splits And ya hopefully Hurts can find AJ for a couple of their go-to slants and a deep shot or 2...or if they double AJ he finds devonta and goedert ...that's if rams can shut down saquon and force eagles to pass
That’s a big “if”! If the Rams stack the line, Hurts is talented enough to complete any pass required. Darnold was absolutely terrible in his last 2 games with the Vikings. He held the ball way too long. He was sacked 9 times. Hurts is a lot better than Darnold. The Eagles defense is one of the best in the NFL. They’ll be forcing turnovers all day.
The Rams aren’t going to shut down the run game. The Rams aren’t going to sack Hurts 9 times. Eagles minus less than a touchdown is one of the best plays of the weekend.

I’m not going to argue with Ditka. You can go right ahead, though.
I think Ditka stole that saying from Don Meredith.
Howard Cosell: “If Los Angeles wins, it’s a big one, but San Francisco is still very much in it.” Don Meredith: “If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a merry Christmas.” Howard: “I didn’t think you’d remember that old canard.” Don: “Is that what it was?”

My bad somehow misread that

I don't know who said what when or where, just commenting on how I heard the old canard. Mine makes more sense anyway.

Hurts is actually worst in league in time to throw at 3.23 seconds...but that is due to his scramble ability and because he is known to drop his eyes under pressure to look to run...but he holds the ball forever which has been a complaint from eagles fans
Darnold took 3.15 seconds last week and got sacked 9 times...obviously he not as mobile and minne OL waaaaay worse than eagles who have best OL in league (top 3 at worst)
Rams should stack the box and pray they can slow saquon. And make Jalen beat them with his arm
Looking like potential snow/precipitation
I am already on saquon over 108.5 rush yards so I guess I have already made my decision as to whether they can "stop" him....he has 255 week vs rams 2 months ago...should get at least 100 Sunday imo

Ya I'm worried snow.could nullify the eagles 4 man rush giving stafford to pick apart the secondary. Also CBs have a hard time in the snow cause they have to react quickly to the WRs moves which requires good grip in the grass (sod field at philly)
It could also nullify the rams quick pass rush
Plus rams DL super undersized which could lead to eagles dominating run game...rams LB mediocre at best as well ...
Snow probably helps OL the most which plays into the eagles strength
Weather could play a massive factor

@dubz4dummyz Thanks for the info on Hurts and his time to throw. I'm gonna hit the Rams ats and ML. The Eagles are going to get schooled in the game of football.
Eagles OL miles better than minne OL. That is one caveat...as we saw with the insane pocket Hurts got on his TD pass to Dotson (over 6 seconds and no GB defender got within 2.5 yards of hurts)

I would say one of the reasons Hurts takes his time to throw is because of the time his O-line affords him. I've watched some film on X that shows the pass blocking his Oline gives him. So the question is, will the O-line mitigate the Rams' pass rush?
Dubz, you most recently mentioned that snow helps the Oline more than anything. Just something to consider.
My record pre-playoffs was pretty stellar if you ask me. During playoffs? Well .... Take whatever I say with a grain of salt! lol

The Commanders and Lions are the only divisional round matchup that isn't a rematch. Both teams have had 3 games each this season where they didn't punt the ball. The Lions have faced only 3 QB's this year who are considered mobile. Kyler Murray: 5 rushes for 45 yards Anthony Richardson: 10 rushes for 61 yards Josh Allen: 11 rushes for 68 yards, 2 tds
Commanders won 6 games in the remaining 67 seconds of the game..will check to make sure this is true.
