Here's what I have for week 1 (most of these games were bet over a week ago and some of the lines have moved in my favor for better or worse)
CARO/NYJ Over 43 I think this is a big mistake by the linemakers. Revenge game for Darnold playing with the OC who made a star out of Burrow at LSU against the worst secondary in the league. So why not play the Carolina -4? Because the Jets don't have a viable running game and Zach Wilson will be getting his share against a run of the mill Panthers defense as well. Total is around 45 right now and I'd still play over.
JAX -2.5 Even coming off a 1-15 season, the Jags are still the better team. If the linemaker thought differently there's no way they'd juice the Jags -3 as it is right now.
PITT +6.5 Does anyone even respect the fact that Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in 14 years as Steelers coach? It's not like he's been blessed with incredible talent every year. The dude simply has the love of his team who want to play well for him. Buffalo is good but too chalky for me at this time.
MIN/CIN Under 48. A pair of teams that will be in conservative game plans for the time being for various reasons.
PHIL/ATL Over 48 I don't like the Eagles at all this year but they can get on with scoring against this crap Falcons defense even though they'll lose the game. Points aplenty.
KC/CLV Under 54.5 Does anyone want to take the under here? I do because the defenses might actually be the best units on the field all game.
NO/GB Under 49.5 Again 2 good defenses overshadowed by the fantasy football hype of their skill position offenses. In the Superdome this may have been a shootout, but at TIAA Field in Jacksonville, it's going to be a sluggish output on both sides in the 90 degree heat and humidity.
Bonus CFB pick Saturday : Appalachian State +9 vs. the U. Lock it in.
Off to the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa tomorrow morning trying to win enough to neutralize my wife's losses.
Good Luck to everyone especially Biscuiteater1.

Way too early 1st half observations:
1) Despite coaching staff overhauls and shiny new QBs, the 2 worst teams in the NFL last year (Jags and Jets) still look like the 2 worst teams in the NFL.
2) Kyler Murray has serious league MVP potential.
3) The Falcons are still one the best offenses between the 20's and the worst in the red zone.
4) Ryan Fitzmagic becomes Ryan Fitztragic without fail.
5) The Vikings are much too good to allow Coach Mike "Don" Zimmer to sabotage them again. He's just not very smart. (Alas the Marvin Lewis coaching tree)
6) The hypothesis that the NFC West is the best division in football and the AFC South is the worst is being proven to be fact not theory.
