Detroit Mercy is 0-7 but have played all their games on the road so far. These include impressive losing performances at Missi State, Louisville, and Northeastern (a grossly underrated basketball team from Boston). Meanwhile tonite's opponent, IUPUI (some offshoot of both Indiana and Purdue) are 1-5 with a weak win over Spalding (WTF?) and losses to TAM Corpus Christi, San Antonio and others.

 Perusing some of your bumped threads brought me both joy and heartache. One example is PG Dad/Joey who was not only a very sharp player but a witty humorous guy. Miss him and Giant, Jay, Cacabeware, DSN, on and on. All brought something to the table of life.  Good times with funny people.

Also what ever happened to Club Dirt?

 Joey was the author of some of the most epic sports related melt downs this site has ever seen. He went on some pretty good heaters with his knowledge of the midwestern college teams.

Couple other guys I miss were Bookyman and seaweed. Seaweed wasn't here that long, and everyone was convinced that him and The Giant were the same person. Seaweed still posts at SBR, and just as with here, he is mostly hated by everyone. His painfully dry humor goes over everyone's heads.

Bookyman and I used to argue all the time. He mistakenly called me Hugh Jorman, and Club Dirt called me that til his last day at the Newsletter.

Irw1n was another of my favorites. Crazy funny guy.

I was dialed in a few years ago. I haven't been paying attention to hoops this year.

Hugh will chime in I'm sure, but I disagree. Who in that division even has a shot at winning it other than Dallas? An automatic berth to the playoffs is all you can ask for. After that early round luck takes over and then the cream rises to the top, which probably is the end of the Cowboys.
