Things you don't have to fact check: 

This was the first Week 1 in 45 years that three NFL teams won, after trailing by 14+ points. Dolphins, Bears, Bills all trailed by 14+, but wound up winning.

— Since Week 9 of the 2022 season, Detroit Lions are 23-8 ATS.

— Two NFL players share the current record for most teams played for:
9- Josh McCown (2002-19)
9- Ryan Fitzpatrick (2005-21)……both guys were quarterbacks.

Nobody has played for eight teams; 25 guys have played for seven.

— NFL kickers were 21-23 last week on kicks of 50+ yards. Pretty, pretty good.

— 10 WRs had 100+ receiving yards in Week 1; Dolphins were only team that had two guys with 100+ receiving yards, Tyreek Hill/Jayden Waddle.

— Seven guys had 100+ rushing yards last week, including QB Lamar Jackson; Houston’s Joe Mixon leads the league with 159 rushing yards. Copied from the pages of Armadillo sports!!

 Good stuff 

The last book of fiction that I read was ‘Cat In The Hat’. I was particularly fond of ‘Green Eggs & Ham’ from that wonderful series. 

For the last 35 years I have indulged in the so called ‘self help’ genre, but more recently into the ‘self knowledge’ section of your local book store. 

Similar to Icon, I spent a few years deep into Stoicism. 

Currently I am ready/studying ‘A Course In Miracles’

As per PFF Jalen Hurts graded as the worst QB in week 1

In a week which offended our senses with the QB play of Caleb, Bo, Jayden, Daniel Jones, D Watson, amongst others, grading out as the worst is quite a feat. 

Admittedly, PFF’s grading system is flawed 

As per Next Gen Stats;

Week 1 leaders in pressures on the QB;

1) Micah Parsons 9

2) DeMarcus Lawrence 8

3) Three players tied with 7 pressures

4) Four players tied with 6, including Cowboys rookie DE Kneeland

either Lamar runs over the Raiders or the Raider run Lamar Over.  I don’t care as long as they score plenty of TD’s . I’m holding Red accountable for the weather report.

I rewatched Houston and Colts game yesterday. Anthony Richardson has a high ceiling, he can wow us. It's a matter of gow consistent he can become. 

The Saints have a rough schedule coming up.  At DAL, then home against PHI, then @ATL, @KC and home against TB.

They also have an aging team.  Carr - 33, Kamara - 29, Taysom Hill - 34, Cam Jordan - 35, D. Davis - 35, Nate Shepard - 30, Mathieu - 32

this, coming from a die hard Raider fan, we suck...and mustachio is not going to help us...he may tickle your tweeners, but that's about it...

the Raiders Super Bowl was the USC/LSU game played opening college week...that's how bad we will be...don't count on us scoring points  or covering spreads...we can't even spread cream cheese at the moment...we may win some games, by default, but other than that it's nonsense...

Your coach kicking the FG on 4th and 1 inisde the 10 yard line, down by 9 points with about 10 mins left in the game was understandable. 

His decision to punt on 4th and 1 in plus territory while down by 6 with about 7 mins left was embarrassing

Worth remembering that WFT had BY FAR the largest roster turnover of any team this off season.

All those new pieces, new coaches, and new QB will take a little time to gel

Should have mentioned that we are missing out on Russ's return to Denver, where the majority of his teammates as well as his HC, genuinely disliked him. That would have made Denver an auto play ... but alas, we get Sacs favorite QB Justin Fields starting for Pitt

You guys read about the formation and play distribution of the Falcons new offensive coordinator?

They were in the pistol or shotgun 96% of the time. Every play out of the pistol was a run.

The Falcons were the only team to not run play action pass in week 1.

Talk about predictable. 

The CD News crew was all over this Falcons squad and how bad they might be. Terrible drafting and free agent signings. But we didn't know how bad their play calling would be.
