Immediately Coach Prime has done well in portal & recruiting.. . Watch out for Colorado in 2025. Mel Tucker left the Buffs in shambles departing for Michigan St…I think big changes and a bright future are coming to Boulder.
Opening game in Ft Worth vs TCU

It will be interesting to watch. He's gonna get players for sure. Only thing is as soon as there is success, he's taking the next bigger, better job and Colorado is right back where they were

2025? With all this hype, people are expecting a good 2023 season, and I honestly could see them going 5-7 or even 4-8 this year. And if coach Prime only gets them to a toilet bowl next year, he's not going to get the recruits and transfers that everyone is expecting. He was a huge fish in a little pond, but now he's a minnow in a large lake. Will he succeed? That remains to be seen.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

Of course this is my opinion but I see a huge jump up for Colorado this season.
Colorado's early season performances with be undervalued and it will take the books weeks to adjust.
I see a minimum 7 win season.
I can't comment on what Deion's future thoughts are but as for now he is very happy with Rick George and everything Colorado. Everything going on there is to upgrade the dog crap that has taken place there in past seasons.
Nike contract, Uniforms, Swag, food, facilities, All the coaches, beautiful stadium location.
There is a ton of money in Boulder. Long term if things go right That benefits the personnel on the payroll.

Great stuff Spottie
Put it this way, in the current times of bouncing around by coaches & players…a 2 year plan seems legitimate to turn a program around. A stepping stone to the ACC for Coach Prime, probably. But I think the discipline and plan CU put together this season will carry over into years to come. I would think .500 and a Bowl Game would be the goal.
Not sure I agree with the “Large Lake” comment. Not many coaches in the current PAC 12 I would say are Legendary.

Their 2023 schedule isn't gonna be easy. Road games at TCU, UCLA, UTAH, ORE, WSU, ASU - how many of these are going to be Ws realistically? Maybe 1-2 if things fall their way? And their home games are against NEB, CSU, USC, STAN, ORST, AZ. Maybe they win 3-4 of these? The way I see it, they'll be lucky to get 6 wins, and 4-5 is much more likely.

Here is thing about Deion and staying or leaving to a top SEC team or the like. Currently Deion is leading a team from the bottom. He has the investment from a highly motivated organization. Colorado has given Deion to upgrade the whole team top to bottom. This is a huge investment that could make things uncomfortable going forward.
The future: If things stay the same as far as money earned and open pocket books to keep the conditions ripe to attract the talent and Deion and coaches get paid, Raises will also be required. Colorado has to be committed to all of this.
I don't think Deion is doing this to keep elevating to the big proven schools. I think if he gets the money he desires and the condition stay the same and Colorado is winning. He will stay if the school supports him and the high level players. If the support fails its over.
If the team supports him and all his demands Colorado will be on top of the big 12 for a long time.
I think the next big move will be to add a new scoreboard. They have a small dated one. These highly skilled people want to be seen and build their brands.

I am watching all thing Deion and Colorado and I am up to date on a lot of the recruits. I am watching which means I dont have any type of info who they are targeting BTS.
These short video's from local podcasts are not mentioning USC UCLA (Oregon has one or kids looking in to them) Stanford Oregon State ect.
I have not followed other team sites or podcasts. Part of the reason Deion is attracting so many players is the lack of depth and all the open positions.
Your points are legit, from a betting stand point I am bullish in the early season.

As far as wins, not a betting perspective is how soon do they become a team. How well does Shedeur Sanders adjust to playing PAC-12 teams not HBCU competition. I think he has what it takes. Might take a few games to get PAC-12 ready.
I think 5 wins is low, we'll see.

Always a pleasure Spottie. Top Notch information and approach. This will be fun to watch, I’m all for the man Coach Prime and the type of athlete’s he will develop…That Scoreboard comment had me Lol. Very true. BUT the facilities are pretty damn good, a lot of money on improvements while Tucker was in town to make em “Dope”.
As for the schedule, tough as can be, and a true test every week. I can’t wait to watch…. A great friend known as the Assassin of Bookies said it best: “Put it this way, when has he (Coach Prime) failed at anything??”
I think the Home Schedule looks pretty reasonable:
Nebraska, Colorado St, Stanford and Arizona are all very winnable imo. Teams that are already trending down… throw in an upset in a bad spot for a #12 Oregon St or a #7 USC on a field trip to Folsom and well then, BINGO. Bowl Game potential after going 1-11 last season
Go CU!
The impossible only takes longer….

He won’t be here after 2024, and all Buffs fans and season ticket holders understand that. He’s using CU to get to his next stop, where he can actually win a championship.

where do you project he goes that has a shot to win a championship?
Also I disagree, many season ticket holders and alumni are simply looking forward to more than 1 win this season. Thinking of a 2025 HC replacement makes little sense. Numerous things can happen. Stay optimistic, give him 4 years.

yoire right in the fact that 2024 will be the first year he will consider a move. His male athlete family will all be moving on.
These next 2 seasons he will have to figure out what’s on the table to stay or leave. It’s hard to predict this because a game hasn’t been played.
Some high quality coaches are there. Do they stay? Do they keep attracting the big time recruits?
the school
has to keep improving team chemistry. As some comments from the team were made. It’s a highly fluent University. Their culture is not represented at all outside of the athletic dept.
The team has to handle the altitude and weather. I’m not too concerned, but problems can occur.
I just find all this fascinating. The kids love to be seen and social media is starting to embrace their vibe. Deion knows how to make a brand yet stay focused on a team win.

They will win a few home dog games this season. Early games will cash a lot more than later games. I think odds makers will evaluate coming in off a 1 win year. Than after a few games the odds makers adjust more accurately.
Colorado will be profitable from a betting perspective this season.
I would love them to will all their home games. Other teams have had it easy playing at altitude in recent seasons. This year they will be have problems breathing .

Deion will end up at FSU. I can easily see the Noles under performing this upcoming season and the Buffs over performing, which would start the “rumor mill.” CU will be pretty legit in 2024, and he will be gone after that.
As a Buffs season ticket holder, I don’t care how long he stays. The value of my seats for the Nebraska game alone will pay for the next ten years of season tickets. Or, as I see it, I can afford to go to the Alamo Bowl this year, and then go to the Pac 12 championship next year and watch Oregon smoke them.
Either way, Deion and his players will get the hell out of Boulder as quickly as possible.

You seem a little cranky on the changes happening…Folsom Field will be rocking this season, and I’ll gladly buy your extra ticket…nothing like college football!! I’m also not clear on your math or logic, but I think I decipher that you think Oregon vs Colorado in the PAC 12 championship. Whoa. Let’s slow it down Greedy Bastard, CU is coming off a 1 win season… I think .500 and a bowl game is a reasonable goal with that ferocious schedule.
BOL scalping your seats, and in also assuming Deion does enough in the PAC12 to be considered by an ACC school such as his FSU. Looonnng way to go, but CU looking well positioned….and it’s all because of Coach Prime and the trust the Buffs have given him. I kinda gotta call BS on this one though:

Without looking at current roster changes etc… just a rough but accurate look at CU’s Home games: Colorado -1 vs Nebraska Colorado -7 vs Colorado St. Colorado +12 vs USC Colorado -2 vs Stanford Colorado +4 vs Oregon St. Colorado -5 vs Arizona
I dont think they can sweep this difficult home schedule but with an injury to an opponent QB or some sort of good fortune they can win 5 home games?
Of course not according to the 4.5 RSW but they are only trying to predict a balanced line, not handicapping their games.
I am not sure what happens early in the season adjusting from HBCU teams to legit PAC12 schools. games vs. Neb and CSU might not be as easy as I expect.

Oh I agree, home schedule looks cherry imo….the problem is that road schedule. I’m not really surprised by the 4.5 RSW Total. The reason being they will have to win 1-2 roadies among: TCU, Oregon, ASU, UCLA, Wazuuu, UTAH and i currently project them as an underdog in every one of those matchups.
3 of them at a TD or less however. Wild Wild West PAC 12 this season. I’ve stated that the Buffs 6 wins will be the goal despite this gauntlet of a schedule…watch for motivation spots at home.
Best of luck and MAJOR props to you SPOTTIE! A handicapping Sharp shooter… hope you’re well Brotha
