Yeah some excitement for the deep end of the pac!!.. Fan duel was givin us some good +odds for over 4.5 RSW .. don't hate it but not playing it either would rather lay odds for 3.5 but doubt we get that or its not too expensive ... to hit 4.5 they really gotta be ready to rock early on we'd want to bag 2 wins in the first 3 weeks and really need Stan to not right their ship w the new coaches and be nice if ASU or UA were not better than LY and both could be ..
And besides just looking at the schedule from the Buffs side the opponents side doesn't offer much help either in terms of tricky or down spots .. they get Neb at home B2B roadies off Minny but its an old rivalry early in the year, huskers already got that game circled they aren't gunna forget to show up to that one .. ASU catches em at home before their bye week and off a trip to Cal .. Stan will be off a bye and any bowl for them almost for sure requires a win vs the buffs and that's prob true for a few teams this year lookin to bounce back to a bowl this year .. Buffs are back on the road after their bye @UCLA .. Bruins will be off @Stan and have @UA on deck .. not exactly a sandwich sneak attack, maybe UCLA can get caught sleepin? .. got @Wazzoo before the apple cup, maybe a down game for them but nothing easy about the Palouse .. and B2B roadies at the end closes out @Utah they'll be off @UA which is maybe a sneak freak loss spot on the Utes schedule .. doubt they'll catch the Utes sleepin at home esp if Buffs have won a few games by then .. yeah schedule not favorable in any way IMO .. really gotta rely on Buffs just being a big jump better.. never know could be, we'll see!!!

Bill C droppin his Ret pro numbers now .. Buffs at #93 w 57% returning on both off and def .. but should be noted that no ret pro from FCS or lower counts into the formula so none of the J-State guys are baked into that number .. I'd also guess quite a few duds hit the portal so lower ret pro doesn't surprise me but still keeping 57% remaining = roster wasn't totally gutted .. maybe something to build on, we'll see ..
FSU top of the charts at 87% .. 80% offense, 94% D.. holy mackerel!!! .. only 7 teams in the 80%'s overall and besides the Noles only Kansas is over 83% .. pre-ssn hype machine just hit ludicrous speed and maybe a story worth the hype too they've def got everyone's attention .. also interesting the atlantic division had monster amounts of ret pro last year on nearly every team and doesn't have nearly as much coming back this year .. BC, Cuse bring back the most after FSU .. Clem does retain a decent amount and its a big drop from there for NC State, Wake and Ville .. so there's another reason FSU's W column might be just as loaded next year .. real big schedule too .. LSU (N), @Clem, @Florida .. and a stretch in the back half of the season @Wake, @Pitt, Miami .. not an easy road to the playoffs but def have a worthy schedule ..

Great info as usual Bridge! Surprised Buff's have 57% back after hearing so many were told to hit the road.
Thanks!

im trying to recall but the year prior, I think CU had an unbelievable 25% or less Starters return under Dorrell. 3 Defensive starters returned
The impossible only takes longer….

He won’t be here after 2024, and all Buffs fans and season ticket holders understand that. He’s using CU to get to his next stop, where he can actually win a championship.
In order for that to happen he has to have a 7-5 1st season with bowl and 9-3/10-2 type 2nd season..... The jury is still out to see if he can coach with lesser talented players vs more talented players and win games...That's when coaching matters...He brought in a lot of high level assistant coaches, which should make a difference

yeah I can't see too many paths into a really huge job after 3 years at CU maybe FSU if stars really align and he's got all the right relationships and coordinators lined up thats a tall order tho .. and I don't think its so much on the field hurdles I mean if he can go 3-4 wins w this schedule and then B2B bowls that seems like a pretty epic turnaround.. program was dead 3 months ago, bottom 5 team LY, gutted alot of the existing roster .. That AD was dead in the water before that stroke of genius ..
I think the hurdle that's tough to overcome for a big program AD is that when you hire prime you really gotta turn the keys over to a brand name celebrity and it just seems like you gotta see how he can command ever larger programs before a huge program w all kinds of political hands will roll the dice on him .. also yeah not an x's n o's guru and all the big programs seem to have one at the top so can he also outperform making coordinator hires because they'll need to be home runs .. shouldn't be hard to attract up n coming star coordinators for CU but if he's at FSU can he convince Phil Longo or other big names to get on "The Prime Train" and land those guys every year or two idk that's a diff situation than he's in now ..

Great stuff, absolutely would have to be a program willing to commit the Prime ways which would be a difficult agenda to get rubber stamped in the Deep South on an SEC/ACC level.

True but he's not just a flashy NFL name he's been layin the groundwork in HS and it's been incremental up the ladder the whole way not just handed to him .. and maybe most of the success is from just insanely better recruiting at each spot but there's a reason for that he's built his brand and has all the relationships and everything he touches gets a massive profile boost .. not many coaches have that kinda touch maybe Harbaugh had that when he went to Mich and even that didn't really pan out till recently .. not many others have that instant profile bomb 'it' factor, maybe Kiffin and Sark not many ..
Also CU is not exactly the cultural fit anyone thinks of to go Prime Time lol .. but if he can work the magic and make it work there then no reason its not happening at L'ville or any of the zillions of middling programs in that area .. maybe most aesthetically pleasing fit is GT?.. bring The Prime Train back to Atlanta lol how fun would that be?! great place for him to squat at until Norvell moves on, think it would be a no brainer .. would be easy for the Noles to remember when they hired the x's n o's guru in Taggert, there's a good podcast out there one of their beat reporters talking about how clueless he was running the program, recruiting events were a mess, no respect or leadership at all .. stuff Deion just seems to be a natural at .. hope it pans out that would be pretty fun ..

With their schedule this year, after the house-cleaning, they'll be lucky to win one game. It may take til year 3 to reach a bowl, & even that may be a bit ambitious.

On the whole I respect you, and I respect your opinion.
My opinion you are way off, for this season. You are right the longer he stays the better the Buffs will be. If they get real good he (Prime) might even elevate to a top position elsewhere. If they get real good or fail how long does he stay?
In coming years do they get more NIL $$$ ? This maybe a problem for the Buffs as they dont have a long list of excellence and Millionaires. Boulder and surrounding areas are loaded with money so maybe the area and location will support the team.
Im not a fan of Colorado, but its a fascinating story and one I follow.

I think Coach Prime will fail miserably...Recruits and especially African American athletes want to win, and win now...He won at Jackson State in large part due to his son, who could have played at a top D1 Program relatively soon. CU does have an advantage for the home games due to elevation. It appears to be about a 80% turnover in the roster. I may short CU early in the season, especially on the road. If the losses mount, year over year, the novelty and the luster of Coach Prime will wear off, and he will have a challenge getting elite recruits, from my perspective. DS is a charismatic fellow...but, he has to figure out how to win games, this season, or at least be competitive, in order to be a good omen for the future...of the program...The Lindy's College Football rag will be released at the end of May...4 more months...until we get going again...

My assessment has little to do with Sanders but more the fact that it's a new staff, new system, a house cleaning, & a tough schedule. They have TCU, Nebraska, & CSU ooc, then a pac-12 that's as deep as it has been in a long time.......being in the south helps, & they do miss UW this season, but it's gonna be a tough go in year one.

Well for sure that schedule is something that is going to make it difficult to get W's. When the moneyline comes out I will take the huge ML on CU @ TCU week 1. It appears to me these 2 programs are heading in different directions. Its rally difficult to know what will transpire, but I like this opportunity.
Ondeck is Nebraska and CSU. They could start and I predict a 3-0 beginning. At least 2-1 ATS and I predict 3-0 ATS also.
I feel their coaching is good enough and the players they are getting at a minimum has them competing. Last year was last year. I want to see what skill level and training level the players are at. Colorado home games will be insane advantage for them if they do and execute what they are trying to do.
ATM my concern is I dont think they have enough depth in all positions. This is just my thought process.
Good times in Colorado are coming. The only way they are not is if something goes very wrong. These kids also are doing their own recruiting.
I am not overly concerned about the weather in Boulder this season. Last Home game is Nov. 11th. I am concerned about the last 2 road games. They arent playing road games in the South anymore.
Finally I have CU winning 5 games and as many at 7.
TCU maybe
Nebraska Win
CSU Win
Oregon No
USC Hell No
ASU Win
Stanford Win
UCLA No
Oregon St. Maybe, but NO
Arizona Win
Wash St. Maybe but Yes
Utah No

In coming years do they get more NIL $$$ ? This maybe a problem for the Buffs as they dont have a long list of excellence and Millionaires. Boulder and surrounding areas are loaded with money so maybe the area and location will support the team. Im not a fan of Colorado, but its a fascinating story and one I follow. TCU maybe Nebraska Win CSU Win Oregon No USC Hell No ASU Win Stanford Win UCLA No Oregon St. Maybe, but NO Arizona Win Wash St. Maybe but Yes Utah No
Great stuff as always Spottie.. top shelf
The impossible only takes longer….

@LonghornHoosier “I think Coach Prime will fail miserably.” This is great news for Colorado fans as LonghornHoosier continues to fail miserably at projections. Year after year…instant fade em.
People with ASPD are sick. Its your responsibility to yourself to be aware of your surroundings. If you want to engage with a sick person with ASPD its on you. Even if he responds to this text. I will ignore. This is not his thread and when he steps outside of his thread he is free game. I feel bad for his ASPD get the best of him. I feel terrible for the sick people that will not accept their illness. Its a shame.
I know LHH will respond, he cant control his illness until he self-aware and seeks the help he needs.

So Spottie just because I have expressed an opinion on Coach Prime that is different than yours, you diagnose me with your decades of psychological clinical practice with ASPD, whatever that is? It sounds like you are the one with the disorder, not me…You seem to be a decent capper as you focus on your dogs, yet also pretentious talking smack and attacking folks like me who have a different angle..You try to come across as tough behind the anonymity that a covers login provides you..You really just come across as an above average capper who deep down is very insecure…I expressed my opinion, on the merits…You don’t have to agree with it, fade me if you wish, but are the one who comes across as arse with personal attacks on me like the referenced ASPD one from above…You should stick to capping, because your evaluations of so called indicators of personality disorders make you come across as a fool, to anyone with any degree of objectivity…You sound as insecure your friend UrbanWildlife, and where is he posting these days???
