No worries, Tsizzle.
Feel free to hijack my threads at anytime.
As for any advice I could lambaste upon you, sadly I have none, I'm a big loser.

Fortunately tsizz, we weren't tied down. After college we moved to San Fran. After a couple of years my girl got the offer to work in Sydney. The decision to move wasn't an easy one, but I used it as an opportunity to experience the new life, and begin work for myself. The move was the catalyst. Who know's, if she didn't want to come here I may still be doing algorithms for an insurance company.
I've made a number of great friends here, and you'll be surprised how many of them have lived overseas for a period of time. As Aust citizens they can all get 2 years working visa's in England, so a lot of them all go over for one or two years (unfortunately the poms send their worst over for 2 years in return). This is a very multicultural country, and many of them are able to go back and live in italy or Greece or Lebanon or China for periods of time. I don't feel out of place because a lot of people have done this also.
Back home, we may think of going to college interstate as the same as these guys going to England for 2 years. It could have been easy to feel like I did something if I moved from Oregon to Chicago. It is honestly not much of a change. But U.S to Australia is much easier then U.S to Germany.
And working for yourself is one of the best feelings. If I work my ass off for 70 hours a week working for somebody where do I end up? Fat, bald and a couple of ulcers. Working for myself I can see the tangible rewards and get all the intrinsic benefits. What can be better then backing your abilities and seeing it all come off?
Chicks? Until you meet the right one they are all the same, a dime a dozen (or in tards case a dime every 180).
