I'm for a increased corporate taxes and a flat tax one income. If you're Amazon and you reap record profits running small mom and pop's stores, even big chains, out of businesses, I have no sympathy for you. If you are facebook or Alphabet and your main product is data about American people, I have no sympathy for you. And I have stock in Amazon and Alphabet so this would affect me too but it's right.

A flat income taxe. It would shift corporate America with execs opting to draw more base salary as opposed to bonses and stock options but a flat income taxe is a start towards a fair system. I welcome anyone more nuanced in the tax code than I to point out flaws in this.

I heard a a few years ago that blew my mind. It was that the money spent tackling the homeless issue in San Francisco was enough to house all the homeless in San Francisco. And I mean in San Francisco, one of the most expensive places to live in the world. I know how the bureaucratic system works. Too much of that money is spent employing millennials to show up to work and say, "We really need to figure out this homeless problem." "I know. We do. Let's figure it out after lunch!"
