The problem is that they are Democrats. They most likely support Bernie and voted for Biden. Democrats can’t win if they lose that group.

Most of those motherfuckers don't vote at all and definitely wouldn't vote for a "southern" style democrat like Biden. I'm sure there are some who made an exception this past fall but I think it is you who are just repeating what you've heard in the media.

Trust me. The motherfuckers destroying shit don't support any politicians. Maybe Bernie and Warren but definitely not Biden. And Portland isn't the hell hole some national media outlets try to make it out to be. Even this summer, when I would go into downtown, it was never as bad as I would prepare myself for. There was a stretch where it hot pretty nuts and there were riots pretty much every night so there was some truth to the reporting but the point i'm making is that all media spins. The left is spinning by omission. "We just won't cover it. We won't talk about riots. We won't talk about kids in cages." The right is spinning be exaggeration. "Oh my god, Portland is hell on earth! Protect your grandmother! They're canceling Dr. Suess!"

Spent some time in Portland in 2015. It was restaurant week in March I believe. The only thing downtown had going for it was the food. Lots of “homeless” college aged white kids sleeping on the sidewalks. Saw some goofy folks practicing tai chi while wearing jeans near the Columbia river, that was comedy.
The city definitely isn’t for me but it’s surrounded by natural beauty for sure. I went to my first recreational co-op across the river in Vancouver, Wa. Got stoned and went to Voodoo doughnuts. Not bad but definitely overrated IMO

The surrounding natural beauty is the draw. The city is "meh". I used to love it. It's decent. Has both tree-lined, bucolic neighborhoods and hip, funky neighborhoods with cool bars and restaurants. It has gone down the shitter in recent years but the media portrayal is a little overblown. I live out in the sticks and it's flippin' wonderful. Rivers and streams and trees and mountains. Nice and respectful people.
You probably saw them practicing Tai Chi by the Willamette River. Can't think of any reason you would've been near the Columbia unless it was when you were in Vancouver.

I went to Portland last summer. Absolutely disgusting place. You walk around that dump telling Democrats that you won’t buy them a meal and in the back of your mind you always think a Democrat is going to reach out from one of their tents and grab your ankle.
