Today the United States continues to designate the group a terrorist organization [3] and says that it has engaged in terrorist activity by
The State Department also says that the group is suspected of involvement in a number of low-level attacks since the start of the Second Intifada in 2000

please post a link to where he or his people said he voted against
iraq? i think he has stated it quite clear he was against it from the
beginning and what was john mccain saying at the same time
But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States , or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history. I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of Al Qaeda. I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars.
So for those of us who seek a more just and secure world for our children, let us send a clear message to the President today. You want a fight, President Bush? Let's finish the fight with Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, through effective, coordinated intelligence, and a shutting down of the financial networks that support terrorism, and a homeland security program that involves more than color-coded warnings. You want a fight, President Bush?
seems pretty much dead on with all of those statements
now what did john mccain have to say around the same time?
Of the prospect of war in Iraq, you said, "I believe that success will be fairly easy –" John McCain., September 24, 2002.
"I believe that we can win an overwhelming victory in a very short period of time –" John McCain, September 29, 2002.
Of the ouster of Saddam and the Baathists: "There’s no doubt in my mind that once these people are gone, that we will be welcomed as liberators – " John McCain, March 24, 2003.
really johnand this is the man you want to tell us has

Summary: Interviewing Barack Obama on Meet the Press, Tim Russert read a quote he attributed to Obama to suggest that he has "not been a leader against the [Iraq] war": "In July of 2004, Barack Obama: 'I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. ... What would I have done? I don't know,' in terms of how you would have voted on the war." Russert did not quote the very next sentence of Obama's statement, which was, "What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made" for authorizing the war.

wall i think you are a pretty bright guy however in this you seem to
be only focussed on one part of this and that is mccain- now i will
agree with you that alot of his economic policies are not on the top
of my list but on the other side the ideas and plans that john
mccain has will not even start to deal with the budget deficit and
the overall debt this country is facing
his economic plans are based on dinosaur thinking from the
republican side- these plans were very efficient 40 years ago but
today they are not- this idea that big business is the solution to
our job concerns is a fallacy- you know as well as i do that what
we are facing today we should of been facing a few years ago but
decisions were made to prolong the current situation we are in until
now and not when it should of happened to begin with
the strength of any country is the jobs that country has and the
time has come to evaluate on how we are going to create that
environment but continuing on with the corporate welfare as we
know it today is not the answer and just more of the problem and
mccain has no intention of changing that
now i am off to dinner- hopefully the conversation will be more of
what wall offers and less of ramblings of people like mets-slim and
ab
