 Making a reference to one’s race when discussing their success or lack thereof is racism. Racism is using one’s race as a factor to judge them. He’s a great coach. Why must ESPN publicize his race as being a factor of anything. 
He’s a helluva coach and by his answer sounds like he’s a better man and was put off by that shallow reporter even bringing up his race.
