It happens man to everyone even the best cappers you will always have your streaks and think you are on top of the world and then you make a bet and lose then you make another and lose agian and then it like oh fuck I was winning up all this money then boom it all gone and then you end up being down, but my suggestion to you is that you stop betting cause first of all you dont wanna mess things up with your family over betting trust me I've seen one of my friends lose everything cause he blew all his money and all the money for his family he dont get to see his kids anymore or talk to his family and second the money your making no offense you shouldnt be gambling anyway but I wish the best of luck man....

hang in there man. i know exactly how u feel...i too find it hard to stop but the guy above is right. this site fuels the gambling. i wasnt gonna take anything tonight but read some post and ended up taking lakers 2nd half. for 300. i got lucky. real lucky. if i woulda lost that ida been pissed the fuck off and down a grand in 3 days. hang in there man. just keep doubling up eventually u gotta win one right?

20 yrs old, jesus your just a kid! what ever happens, what ever you decide to do the main thing you take from this is that you learn from this situation and not make the same mistake again. That is the best advice i can give you after being in the same predicament but far lesser debt.

keep working and pay your dad back.  find someone else to cover this loss and pay them back too.  get two three jobs if you have to while staying in school.  yes, it sucks, but you made your own bed, now you have to suck it up and deal with the pain.

Kev, since you start gambling at such an early age. You need to really walk away from this.  Turn off the TV, Stop reading the newspaper, Get away from the computer.  Work your ass off and pay what you owe.

Best advice is to find something else in life to keep you busy and your mind off gambling.  Its not worth it.

I feel for you.  I remember my first time on tilt.  I owed 17,000 dollars and made just 550 a week.  I talked to my book and he came to my work every payday and i had to fork over every cent.  I lost my apt my girlfriend and my spirit.   But I can tell that once you have reached that bottom there is nowhere to go but up.  Unfortunately that is where you currently are, but it will get better, you have to make the decision that you have had enough, that you have no secret power that will make you rich.  You have only a limited knowledge of who is going to cover and when, you are just a mere mortal who every once in a while gets fuckin lucky.  i hope this helps.

Stop betting Don't try to win this money back betting either... that is the worst way to go about it.  6,000 in the hole... or whatever you are in the scheme of things is not that much.  Get a job and don't spend money on anything accept what is necessary for survival and the rest aside.  Honestly gambling amounts that large at your age is really stupid.  Put money into the stock market or something if you like to see things go up and down or whatever. 

I was betting at 20 but no where near that amount... and never ever money that I didn't have.  When I would win big I would lose it all back and that made me realize it was time to grow up and start valuing money and making smart decisions....

Man I was in worst place then you when I was your age. Betting 5K a week when I was making 1K a month. When I won, it was crazy. I was on top of the world, BUT when I messed up, I messed up, losing many weeks in a row chasing, I had to kiss everything goodbye....my savings, credit, everything. $170K in debt at 21. It took me 10+ years to bounce back. 

Now STOP gambling.  Don't even look for a line or a score of a game. GIVE IT UP. Forget about the money you have lost. It's gone. DONE, OVER, FINISHED. There is no way you can even try to win it back. If anything you will get yourself in deeper shit. Come clean with everyone. Get the monkeys of your back. I will be tough. Be a man and suck it up. And face the music. You will feel better eventually and if you truly mean it and change, your father will stand by you. Have faith. You didn't kill any one. You just need help. 

I will pray for you my young friend. Have faith. Do the right thing. Things WILL change for the better soon.....
