Homes in LA are burning to the ground in minutes. The shocker is there is no water to fight the fires! Not only that. Supplies are short. The kicker! Mayor Karen Bass is in Africa on a tax payer funded trip while the LA area is literally going up in smoke! LA firefighters are heard on emergency channels that 'the hydrants are down and the water supply just dropped!' 

Now get this. Mayor Bass cut the LA FD budget in 2024 by 23M dollars! Liberalism is a ****** ********! The case will be made that liberalism destroyed LA and the surrounding area!

Grew up in Pasadena......Sad shit going on out there...

Great news for LA. Mayor Karen Bass is back from Ghana! She arrived about 1 hour ago! Mayor Bass will soon be talking to the very happy LA Fire Chief, Kristin Crowley! DEI was much more important to Ms Crowley than doing the right thing. Like hiring the best qualified firefighter!

I'd bring up all the DEI hires in important positions that are failing California in this mess. Some making upwards of $750,000.

But I didn't

I'll sum up California for you guys like this. It's a perpetually drought stricken state. This fact has shaped the very existence of the place for, at minimum, the 4 decades I have been alive. Its vast. It's mostly rugged forests or dry chaparral scrubland. Too many people live there. It's a recipe for disaster. No amount of legislation would change that.

Are these DEI hires or elected officials. Just what DEI hires are we talking about and what exactly have they done wrong?

 I know that like 8% of the country lives in Southern California. They get the majority of their water from way up in the Rockie Mountains of Colorado damn near to Wyoming. They share this water source with another 7% of the population. Make that make sense. Do you want me to draw you a diagram? Send to a topo map?

I might know literally everything about California. There is literally not a corner of the state I have tread.

And to be clear, I'm not defending California poliicians. I can't stand most of them. I detest Gavin Newsom. I have for two decades but guys on the internet speak on topics they know nothing about.

I feel for these poor people in LA palisades.  Rich or not rich this is bad, definitely need to reform the burn ban policies or something.  I lived in upstate NY my whole life, foothills to the ADK and that park is massive.  We don't have fires like Cali does, I understand NY state is more like northern CA with the rain and snow, but forest fires can and will start where there are forests.  Just look at the unbelievable fires up in Canada recently, the smoke carried in the atmosphere down into NYC and DC.  So it's not just the dry barren tree areas and a spark, there has to be some better forest management and more youngsters looking for this background.  From what is understood this happened in like 24 hours with the winds from the east blowing out to sea burning up malibu beach on its way.  You'd have to be a doomsday prepper and luck to maybe avoid this.  

One other thing that should disturb everyone, is the politicians are playing a chess like game here with natural disasters.

Joe bends over backwards for Gavin and CA but was a no show for the red state hurricane victims

Same to be said about Trump, He was very vocal and a key person to help the hurricane ravaged states of red but blamed Newsom for the water problem in southern Cali

Don't argue tit for tat here about my political comments, when these horrific disasters happen to us, our neighbors and families you can not turn a blind eye because they didn't vote for you.  Life is too short to live in the box
