Been a busy day, plus it's Valentine's. I now have a few minutes to address the stupidity that is this thread, and some of you.

First off, I know most of you who complained about this year's halftime show genuinely just thought it was bad. Many of you are older. Many of you aren't into rap, or don't even accept it as a valid music genre. I respect your opinions, and I am not addressing you. I will say this. In the past 10 years we have seen acts like Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, JLo/Shakira, and Coldplay. Go back 20 years and you get the Stones, Tom Petty, Springsteen, Prince, and Paul McCartney.

It's hard to keep coming up with fresh acts. You have to book someone still somewhat actively touring, who has enough hits to fill the time, or who mixes well with guest artist. They have to have cross over appeal, and be recognized the world over. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are synonymous with LA. And they are huge cross over stars. Like it or not, there is no genre more associated with LA than 90s/00s gangsta rap. Maybe surf rock but could you honestly see a surf rock halftime show?

These are all posts making this thread about race. #68 was you. Chic had the most, which isn't a shocker as he is a shit starter. You can't cry about a topic turning to race when you are actively making it about race. That you think the NFL booking Dre and Snoop is about pandering to a race, or about politics,, when their core audience is 30-something to 40-something white people, is comical. Snoop, regardless of his background, is one of America's sweethearts. People love Snoop. It just is what it is.

A band like Maroon 5 or Coldplay performs, nobody says they are pandering to white people. The Super Bowl is in Miami, JLo and Shakira perform, featuring Pitbull and some reggaeton artist I had never heard of nobody says they are pandering to Latinos. Dr. Dre and Snoop perform, we have a hip-hop halftime show, all of a sudden they are getting political and pandering to black people. This is how stupid some of you are. You wake up looking to be triggered, and so you are triggered. You guys are crying about a halftime show. Most people don't even watch. It's on but they are making a plate, making a drink, having a smoke, in the john, lining up rails, but you old-timers are watching intently. And you're in your feelings.

I'll stand by post #68. An observation, I didn't hate on anyone or was untruthful in any way. Maybe "Ghetto Trash" is how I got included (see the bio at the bottom and disagree with me).

Of course it's was pandering, (we'll throw them Snoop and whoever else was up there, try to appease the mob that insists we're racists). Why else subject the world to that? Society caters to the lowest denominator. Exhibit A was last night. Why couldn't they get NWA back together for this enlightening of American culture in 2022.

Prince, MJ, Ray Charles, no problem, they play music, not particularly my kind of music but it appeals to the masses and is in no way offensive. Young and old people can both enjoy it.

No, it was a social justice performance because, once again:

1) Eminem was kneeling.

2) The prisoner outfits the backup dancers were wearing.

People can say it wasn't, but it was right there. Anybody and everybody could see it with their own eyes. It should be recognized for what it is....how often is this dismissed or not acknowledged (not implying you are not) and subsequently addressed? 

That is a big part of the problem in this woke world -- the elites, politicians, media, the people in charge, decision makers, all the way to the everyday person; whether they are afraid to speak up, or it is part of their agenda/narrative on the crap they're trying to push, it should be called out on all sides. 

And the NFL allowed it as they were aware of it -- they observed/monitored the rehearsals throughout the week.... and made a statement on it, saying they knew of it ahead of time.

It's been part of the NFL's gig; look at the social justice crap they push -- the messages on the field, on the back of helmets, the commercials, the announcers talking about it.

Look at one of the initiatives the NFL is partnering with -- Inspire Change. Part of their curriculum is defunding the police/law enforcement. What does that have to do with the halftime performers? Well, those 'artists' have bashed the police in their lyrics in their songs. Is it just a coincidence? 

It certainly appears that social justice was at the forefront of the planning of the show.

I'm sure society has evolved to not hold anyones race against them (I see enough contact between people of different races daily to know this). Of course there's isolated incidents, but as a whole, when was the last time you saw racism with your own eyes?

Background dancers in prisoner outfits/costumes equates to social justice? Seems like you are jumping to your own predetermined conclusions. You have never seen background dancers wear weird costumes or outfits or costumes during performances before? Interesting.

 When I saw Shady take that knee as Dre jumped on the piano and played the beginning notes of a certain Tupac song the only thought I had was he was kneeling for Pac / they had some tribute about to go.... Of course when social media started politicizing it for Kaep I was not surprised.

What do the prisoner outfits signify in regard to social justice? NFL players are prisoners? Too many minorities in prison? What is the message you think was being conveyed? You appear to be making your own theories up.
