You are right that Sweden has changed a lot. I used to take the hydrofoil over from Copenhagen to Malmo a good bit. Malmo has changed quite a bit. I think you see it more there than in any other city, including Stockholm or Gothenburg. I read somewhere that someone was speculating some of it had to do with the Pandemic and more folks gravitated there because they were still so open. But no idea if that is backed by anything. But for sure there is a lot of pushback from some of the folks now that the country has changed so much in such a short time.

My LIFE EXPERIENCE has been just the opposite. I was denied even an interview in 1978 because I was a white male. Only after two of the three minorities hired quit did I get an interview and the job.
In 1988 I was denied a promotion even though the interview panel, department head, and division head picked me for the promotion. Affirmative Action Director has determined not enough minorities in that position so take the minority who, by the way, had no experience in that sector and did not meet the "desired" minimum qualifications. Notice they have to use the word desired, not required.
So no, you got it ass backwards and that was over 35 years ago. I held no animosities, just moved on and retired a top manager in a different organization.
And in my career hired minorities, women, gays, heterosexuals, and men BASED ON THEIR WORK ETHIC AND ABILITIES.

DEI exist to counteract societal bias and discrimination so that women and minorities aren't excluded from jobs. DEI is about ensuring everyone is treated fairly with merit being the only consideration in hiring instead of race or gender. Without DEI, status quo is hiring white men with inferior merit. Trump eliminating DEI would reverse decades of progress in civil rights.

But that isn’t anywhere near 52 % more like 5-6% but yeah if you are celebrating something big you are driving to Germany - like graduation, big birthdays etc. (but for most of us it is like 1 hour drive away so it is like you driving to a big mall or whatever to get a discount) but on daily basis you don’t drive there - and I don’t understand the diss tbh - you are basically trying to insinuate it is bad to have a government that try to regulate people don’t eat themselves to death?

You are correct ..I was dealing with old numbers ..the tax is not as high as I quoted ..nevertheless.. saying you have "choice equal to if you want to die by cancer or aids" is understandable since Copenhagen is the most gay friendly place in the world .
