Oh so I guess you are in favor of amending the Bill of Rights.
Americans have the right to bear arms. Not the right, after a bunch of nonsense. The right to bear arms means just that.
Our forefathers were far wiser than any of you trying to "tweak" our bill of rights.
Sure are forefathers were wise.. But at the time the "arms" they were talking about was a freaking MUSKET... Shoot one shot take 5 minutes to reload.. Walk in a Giant Eagle with a musket and see how many people you take out.. Our forefathers being wise man makes me beleve if they were now today to write that bill to own guns it would be quite different in terms of what type of arms the ordinary non military people could own... I dont think they envisioned a gun that could shoot 30 rounds in 5 seconds..

Secondly I once again never said I am for BANNING guns. I said I was for making the process DIFFICULT. Do you understand the difference?
I have said that 3 times now.
The purchase of a firearm should be the most difficult purchase in America. The background check should be extensive, intrusive, and exhaustive. And once approved, you should be required to demonstrate your proficiency before taking possession.
Also please provide page numbers and line numbers as to where it refutes my comments along with statistical evidence. Post the links to the data sources as well.
If you really wanted to do the research on this topic you very well could and look up each of the states.gov websites and look at the the gun crime rates in states that only require a 4473 form and compare them to the states I mentioned earlier in the thread and then proportionately add up the percentages.
no i didnt read your biased tripe of an article writtien by the president of the brady bill campaign
you are a lemming, a sheep and a puppet if you take what they feed you for factual information
they have an agenda
wake up
now go read the study i provided you and open your eyes to reality, or keep rolling over and taking it in the ass

5 minutes? Try 5-10 seconds.
The 2nd Amendment was adopted in 1791. The first example of a revolver was produced in 1597.
I love how people say what the founding fathers “would have done.” I have a double major in History and have read dozens of books on the founding fathers and how America was founded and their strong belief in the right to bear arms couldn’t be clearer. And believe me; it has nothing to do with hunting.

There is no fucking need on God's green Earth to be able to shoot 30 bullets without reloading.
Seeing as the bad guys don't play by the rules, wouldn't it be nice if the police had the ability to have a 15 round mag, and another 1 or 2 available on their Sam Browne ?
When I was first getting into law enforcement we had dump pouches, 6 bullets per pouch Then it evolved to speed-loaders, but still 2 on the belt.
Quickly it evolved to auto weapons and mags....
These aren't designed for Joe Public, but, for the brave men and women that keep you and me safe

And if every man, woman, and child were assigned their own private police officer charged with their personal safety you might have a point. But that's not the case and unfortunately, the police can’t be everywhere at once and with police response times usually around 10 minutes for most urban areas (assuming you don’t live in a shit part of town) Joe Public is his own first, and often only, line of defense against violent criminals.
