Forget the spread...forget the recent play...forget the recent upswing of the chargers..forget....forget...forget...
"What are you crazy???" you respond...."i can't forget all that"..."that is exactly what I'm using to make my pick!!"...that's right and you're all the wiser...Unfortunately, one man on the field is forgetting everything...and that one man is Big Ben...the leader of the pack...the captain of the ship...the proverbial hot butta dripping down the corn cob...and this is what happened to him 2 weeks ago...
Roethlisberger, expected to play a half to stay sharp before a two-week break, lay on the turf for nearly 15 minutes after being leveled by Willie McGinest and D'Qwell Jackson while delivering a pass late in the second quarter.
Here is a definition of a "concussion" from the mayo clinic...
Concussions range in severity from mild to severe (ben has a documented THREE in his short NFL career), — they temporarily interfere with the way your brain works. They can affect memory (did i just read a comic book or a playbook?), judgment (should i wear a helmet today?), reflexes (this big man running toward has saliva dripping from his chin, should i move out of the way?), speech(:::in the huddle:::: Willie - what's the play? Ben- "Big mac, McDLT, Filet O fish, a happy meal"), balance ("this bench feels warm, i like it here") and coordination ("I think I'll pirouette at the white stripe they call the goal line).
read this...an excerpt from the last time he was concussed...
The hit was similar to that in which he also received a concussion from being dropped by three Atlanta Falcons defenders in 2006.
Then, with the reigning Super Bowl champions off to a 2-4 start, Roethlisberger rushed back a week later to throw four interceptions -- with two returned for touchdowns -- in a 20-13 loss to Oakland. A week after that, he was intercepted three more times in a 31-20 loss to Denver despite throwing for 433 yards.
A week after that!!...that would be THIS week because pitt had two weeks off...he was JUST AS BAD...Two weeks is NOTHING in the course of a concussion timeline..Now your getting 6.5 against a Hot SD team who was given the game by the refs last week with facemask penalties in overtime? I see a team running all the way with it just like the "tuck rule" team...and with rivers behind center...you WILL score...You gotta be your sharpest in this game...i see cornerbacks taking bigger risks, biting on passes and Ben ending up with a minimum of 2 INT's...Take the Hot team, the team that can score, the team getting 6.5, the team that will capitalize on its gift from the refs last week, over a team that may bring in Byron Leftwich if things get ugly...sometimes teams are at their best when people perceive them to be the worst (just ask Arizona)...
SD +6.5 OVER PITT.

Didnt read your post and I am a big component of taking the points, but not in this game
1. In Pittsburgh
2. Weather favors Steelers
3. No LT (Sproles is decent but Indy defense nothing compared to Pittsburgh)
4. Chargers not good on the road
Only advantage I give to SD is that they have already played them once in Pittsburgh, and its tough to beat the same team twice.
If you had...you would realize Big Ben has a prefrontal cortex being held together by duct tape and twine...and that sir...makes all the difference!
He's leading a team in a divisional playoff game...all the other members of the team may be good but he steers the ship...he's like the drunk captain of the Exxon Valdez for cripes sake!!! Don't let your bankroll look like an oil slicked duck at the end of the day by taking pitt!!!

You forget...Blitzburgh owned SD in that game earlier in the year. The score was close but it wasn't indicative of the game played. Pittsburgh had something like 13 penalties, the TD at the end of the game overturned, and turnovers. That won't happen today. Also, if SD is the hot team...why are they getting 6.5 -7 against a team that barely beat them and has an injured QB, ? Doesn't make sense to me...seems to easy!

Yes i did...and let's look at things that are regarded as sacred traditions by millions (and sometimes hundreds of millions of people) on this very earth and in this country which could be considered even more ridiculous...
Exorcisms
Exorcism is the practice of evicting demons or other evil spiritual entities from a person or place which they are believed to have possessed (taken control of). The practice is quite ancient and still part of the belief system of many religions, though it is seen mostly in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches.
Jewish Kaparot
Kaparot is a traditional Jewish religious ritual that takes place around the time of the High Holidays. Classically, it is performed by grasping a live chicken by the sholder blades and moving around one’s head three times, symbolically transferring one’s sins to the chicken. The chicken is then slaughtered and donated to the poor, preferably eaten at the pre-Yom Kippur feast. The ritual is preceded by the reading of Psalms 107:17-20 and Job 33:23-24.
Dowry
This is a cultural practice rather than a religious one. The practice of dowry exists across India. Despite laws against it, the practice continues. The girl child’s dowry and wedding expenses often sends her family into a huge debt trap. As consumerism and wealth increase in India, dowry demands are growing. In rural areas, families sell their land holdings, while the urban poor sell their houses. (this is also practiced every day 1000's of times in America too when it is agreed that the bride's parents pay for the wedding)
If you don't believe religion has a bearing on almost all common behavior, you are mistaken. Why do you think the president's attachment to Black Fundamentalism became such a hot-button topic in the previous election? Because people believed it would serve as a guide for the breadth of all his policy.
These things matter more than you think...the only thing that really matters is that you are ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BET...and whatever gets you there, gets you there....GOOD DAY SIR!!!
