i didnt read what anyone else had to say in this thread just this first guy here and i agree pretty much exactly with what he said. i would have made it 1300 then hoped to hit the flop and if not i just get out. i dont like limping in because you do have the best hand probably and almost for sure if it improves. i hate going all in preflop here too, as much as a i hate the call with 44. theres not enough in the pot at all to go all in, theres a lot of idiots that will call with any pair just because that 1% ahead is such a great advantage to them they forget about the times ppl have jj qq there.

probably right you make it 1300 then you get 3 calls, however you are going to hit the flop yourself sometimes and will be ahead if you do most likely and then someone goes with qj loses and you double up. however its possible these guys are all tight limpers and all fold you never know.

I see what you guys are saying, however I dont 100% agree. Lets say I do make it 1300-1500 like you guys say. Im going to get most likely 2-3 callers...its a pot I think I can take down right away, as I was playing tight, so I didnt anticipate anyone would call the 10k all in. It was a switch up style for me. I figured some people have something to the effect of A10, K10 type hands limping in without raising. I felt no reason to think someone had AK or any large PP. Usually at this stage of the game with the blinds, people are not just "limping" with a big PP, especially from mid position. IF you are on the button like that guy with 44, and you have JJ+...you arent limping at all..once some guy limps, you are going to pop it, otherwise you are a mental lapsed player.
I take you guys points, but I still say its a limp or an all in for me. I could see raising to 2k, but then what. Ive just commited 1/5 of my stack and if the flop comes shitty, i lost it. More than likely I wont hit an A or a Q on the flop, and if i get a handful of callers...then what...i have no clue where I am.

$50 buy in.
I know what you guys are saying and 90% of the time I play like that. Its not as if that situation happens im going to go AI everytime. I just thought it would be a diff play, which I thought wasnt bad. I needed to mix it up a little, and I had a hand that if someone called was pretty good. I just didnt want to go to a flop with 3-4 people. At that point, 1300 is probably the same as limping as virtually everyone will call...at least 2 others would for sure..potentially 3.
I think this is a hand you could play many ways. I hate being OOP with good hands..and my read was right that obv no one had anything they should call with. Some clown does and I brick the way...but Id probably play it the same again in that exact spot. However, normally I wont play it like that and probably make it 1.5k and see a flop..
